Any team without their by-far-best player would be bad.
i think they would fall somewhere in the 10-11 range in the west. Getting ed by phx at home![]()
Any team without their by-far-best player would be bad.
Don't panic.
Obviously the Spurs aren't good without Kawhi but they're still decent enough to beat the worst team in the West.
Anyway, I'm more worried about the next games if Kawhi needs IV treatment like he got during his gastroenteritis in Philly. After 48hs on a liquid diet, he looked like in the game against Raptors.
They would still make the playoffs if they replaced Kiwi with a decent SF. Fathead shouldn't even be in the NBA.
They're glad to be able to beat the Suns without him...But making playoffs? Stop trolling![]()
I don't know besides the rockets take the best player off of GS, LAC, CLE, TOR, maybe even MEM they are all still playoff teams.
The "best" player on ALL of those teams you listed are highly subjective.
CLE is trash without LeBron. LAC lost to Dallas and is currently losing to the Pelicans without Blake.
...is supposed to be statistically better..... so they said.
This team is doing pretty good without Kawhi.
They seem perfectly fine, to be honest. Pop has to be surprised that other guys can score when they move up a slot in the pecking order. It's as if the team doesn't have to force feed Kawhisos to get their points.
Against the Suns...After the horrible 1st half and improved in the 2nd.
But every team would look bad again elite compe ion without the best player if he's that good like Kawhi.
50-40-90 shooting and top 5 on PER in December

Remember this is the NBA not the NCAA. 4 quarters not 2 halves fam.
Suns are basically a D-League team. Can't draw anything from this game. I'll take the W, and hope Tony found a hidden gear (doubtful).
Held their opponent to their defensive average and scored a sh'ton more.
Real-talk, the team isn't as good on either end without Kawhi. Their ceiling isn't as high for sure. However, it's a damned talented roster who can play with most teams if they bring the effort. They did so in the second half. Pop's job is to get them to do that while also having Kawhi come in and be the star. This shouldn't be an either/or thing.
Pretty good point you raised there. They just need consistent effort from everyone when Kawhi is there.
Hope Kawhi stays healthy. I can't stand watching vending machine head play another minute
lmao this forum is full of homers
theres a thread comparing this overrated player to MICHAEL JORDAN lmfao
His team just won by 20 without him, hes nothing without Pop
Garbage ass troll ^^^
I don't know about being "perfectly fine". But I agree with the rest. Especially about not needing to force feed Kawhisos.
this forum also has a sad laker fan who has to pretend to be a warriors fan to have a good time![]()
It's more than that. Defensively, the issue with Gasol/LMA is about 80 percent effort. There are some plays that they, Pau especially, are too slow to make. But most of the time, they just don't seem committed to being there. In the second half last night, they decided to buy in, and they pretty much locked Phoenix down. That doesn't need to happen every night. But in the playoffs, it's a must, in addition to the guards having active hands digging out passes to bigs like Green did.
But offensively, it's clear that the narrative of the Spurs running Kawhiso offense because no one else can score is wrong-headed. Kawhi's the best scorer on the team, but other guys can step up if given the opportunity. In that case, it's not about people trying hard when Kawhi's in. It's about Pop making room for more than just one guy to shine. Dude still didn't actually run plays or actions for anyone but LMA, with Parker free-lancing his way to more points.
