    Amazing Aldridge

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 38 points in 29 minutes, 32 seconds. The Elias Sports Bureau notes that is the most points scored by a player who played 30 or fewer minutes in a playoff game in the shot clock era (since 1954-55). The previous mark of 36 was set by Nick Van Exel in 2003.

Aldridge finished with 18 baskets, one field goal shy of the record for most by a Spurs player in a playoff game. The record of 19 was set by George Gervin in 1979 and matched in 1980.

Aldridge was a perfect 15-of-15 from the field when taking a shot off a pass from a teammate, including 6-of-6 on passes from Tony Parker. He was also 10-of-10 on shots that were catch-and-shoot.

Serge Ibaka and Steven Adams tried but could not stop Aldridge. He went 16-of-19 when guarded by them.
If he could do that once every 4 games, and be good the other three, he will be top 5 and have a couple rings.

That being said, one game. I want consistency.

Excited to see him expand his range in games more often. There was times he was out rebounding all of gsw by himself. Constantly surrounded by 3 jerseys, still getting boards.

Was good to see him outplay green, as green got the better of him a few times. He muscled green down low this game, something he didn't actively do last year.

No way GSW would have legs after grinding with the spurs front court in a 7 game series. Lma makes that possible. Him and kawhi will have their number if they don't upgrade the front court.

I believe there are a number of teams that have the personnel to muscle the Dubs in their current configuration and, therefore, compete with them. Plus, I think that there are some better coaches than Kerr. The Dubs have no real choice but to make a pretty serious move if they want to even return to the Finals - much less win a ring.

all the haters step forth now and redeem yourselves

if he carries us to the playoffs in what is likely manu's final year, he's earned his money and role on this team as long as he wants

one of the most underappreciated big men in the league...and being in SA certainly doesn't help his marketability, exposure, or media 'chatter' for awards..yet he not only chose us, he reupped. now he's getting hugs from manu for putting this team on his back and not just making shots, but working his ass off - during AND before the season.

if he ever gets us a chip build him a statue

He has definitely earned props this year. But let's not go overboard. If we start erecting statues, there are several that should be built before his.

Started out cold today but ended with 23pts & 14rebs vs the high jumping Capela.

Amazing year for the L-Train keeping this boat afloat and heading straight to the Playoffs

    really incredible turn around
even in spots where before he might have just rolled over, he continues to work hard and earn that money, playing through pain and being an iron man

Not to mention his defense is now really good and he was supposed to be not a good defender during his Portland days. Hats off to the man.
