If you want a chance at the first seed, you can't play this poorly against average teams. Being down in the first half to two of the worst defensive in the league at home is not good Basketball. Spurs have played poorly lately.
anyway, I think they've thrown out their chances for the first seed and are now going to be fighting tooth and nail with Houston for the 2nd seed. I would not want to play the Rockets without homecourt advantage.

If Parker missed 2 game winners from under 5 feet, while shooting 25% for the game, ST would have a meltdown. But somehow Parker goes for 22/6 on 56% and still gets the blame. Go figure.

Honestly, this team doesn't have a prayer to beat the Warriors 4 times in 7 and the Warriors are much less likely to blow the "easy" games than the Spurs are who are playing several notches below the Warriors have even though the Spurs had been winning games to their credit.
I think Spurs can beat HOU with HCA, but Houston is going to be a 7 game series and a tough matchup for us.

If that wasn't a 5 second violation, it was damn close. I don't even remember if the Spurs had another timeout. If they did, they should have called it and re-grouped. Atlanta came up with a great play to get their last look, and that's the best Pop could do?
I hate the fact that Pop didn't tell them to feed Kawhi to start OT, after that last shot he put up in regulation. I don't care if he had a bad game after being sick, he's still Kawhi.
I ing hate that Pop didn't have Simmons in the game to play defense at the end, after he did so well at the end of regulation. Considering the Spurs were playing hero ball, the offense wouldn't have been much different with Simmons in. But the D would have, and that's where the Spurs got killed.

Road loss in OT. Nothing more than that. Kwahi hits either shot, they give LMA the continuation or Gasol has his foot slightly back on the 3 and we get the win. And all these doom sayers are silenced.
