My 6 year old system with a 3.5 year old video card runs this comfortably on high, about 65fps average.

Bought it about a week ago. Been playing the series since Bad Company 2 and became a pretty decent player http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4.../306194821/pc/

So far, it's my least favorite of the next gen BFs. The older tanks just aren't as fun to drive as modern tanks. Like driving a in' slug. And you can't coordinate with a gunner with something like laser targeting like you could in 3 and 4. Nothing better than tagging a chopper, firing a heatseeker, and bringing that down. And smoke. Smoke in' everywhere, from mus gas to spammed smoke grenades. And horses can take like a full clip before they die. I supposed they did that for game balance, so you don't feel so powerless on a horse, essentially making them into this version's ATVs. Guns handle and feel great, though.

That said, I don't dislike the game at all. Just slightly like it less than 3 and 4 (so far). If I see Cry Havoc, I'll jump in with ya. I'll be on around 10pst if you're on.

Old guns like bolt actions and semi auto rifles are much more fun to shoot in these games than modern guns, but yeah, the old vehicles, while cool, just aren't maneuverable enough for my taste. You feel like a sitting duck, especially with how every class has anti-tank capabilities and field guns all over the map.

I ing hate the guns.. I wanted a fully fledged Vietnam era game, or Gulf War 1, but guess we'll have to wait a few years.

I thought about Korean War, but why choose it over Vietnam? You're still killing gooks, but at least you get a cool CCR/Jimi soundtrack. Plus plenty of rape ops as well, as the old got can attest. Don't say his name cause he'll start frequenting this board too.
