Why is it that there isn't an academy like IMG here in Texas? These kids shouldn't have to leave the state to go to a football factory like IMG.
The UIL would love that.
Per 24/7, UT has offered DE Tyree Johnson of Washington D.C.
He's been committed to A&M since August.

24/7 saying CB Chevin Calloway of Dallas Bishop Dunne has moved his official visit back to the original date of January 13th.
His family will make the trip with him.
Per Hornsports:
We've been able to confirm that Texas fans should expect some good news in the recruiting arena tomorrow (Friday). We won't post anything specific because, as always, we want the young man to enjoy his announcement, in-full, on his time.
We will have the details and a couple of write-ups with quotes on this immediately after his announcement.
Herman is doing work as we head down the stretch to NSD.
We're told it will happen between noon and 2:30 pm.

If you don't have an opportunity to watch Herman's press conference, 24/7 pointed to two things that really stood out:
-Herman said it's HIS job to tell Fenves and Perrin what he needs to be successful and "no stone will be left unturned", whether that's graphics on the walls, support staff, nutrition or upgrades to the weight room and facilities. He wants an "army" (massive operation) and won't wait around hoping things fall into place.
-Herman learned a lot from the first class that Urban Meyer put together when he took over the Ohio State job. He felt only a few guys from that particular class performed well, and it was mostly due to that staff not having previous relationships with those players before they signed. He's dead-set on the new Texas staff being familiar with this 2017 class, which is why the majority of the prospects being targeted down the home stretch were committed to Houston, or they've been recruited by Herman while he was at Houston. He doesn't want to look back on this class and feel like the program skipped a beat because of the transition.
