I think Kawhi is a little scared of missing. I see/feel he's shrinking when it comes to taking a shot or scoring on the last play.
The offense, outside of when Mills was running the show, did it's job. Even with all the missed shots, they put up points and the shots they missed were good looks. Offense is about generating as many open looks as possible. Can't control make or miss.
This game was lost on defense obviously. Just not good enough on the perimeter and stopping drives.

Who the is that Brockford, Broccoli or whatever the his last name is? That had to be his career high, tbh.
Manu ing chokes
Also, the Warriors have played a super easy schedule. If we're meant to catch them, we will.
I don't think that will be the Spurs view for long...
Stop feeding this troll, man.
Pop's playing chess to Kidd's checkers. He had to counter Greek Freak's "illness" with a similar move of his own.
Too bad he checkmated himself.
parker would have drained it
Yea, and in 2014 when we struggled against "elite teams" I bet you spewed the same crap. All that is irrelevant come playoffs
Davis or Manu hit one of those and everyone's talking about how clutch we are. Close games are coin flips. Be worried when your team starts getting blown out.
Brogdon. He is in the running for ROY. Last start he had a triple double...
Oh yeah, he wanted the Spurs to draft him.![]()
Bingo. Or blows a 24 point lead at home with our teammates arguing with each other![]()
Comparing this team to the 2014 team.
The 2014 roster would tear this team to shreds. You make it sound like the Spurs are the only team come playoff time that will go off... Don't you think the Rockets, Clippers, and Warriors play harder too?![]()
I'm not running him down - he's still Kawhi. But Manu was squared up, and ready to shoot. If that pass had been on target, there's a much better chance he makes it. He had to step toward the baseline, then set up again. I know people will scream, but it's a lot harder shot when you were moving sideways to the basket. It wasn't horrible. But that time, the pass really needed to be dead-on, and it wasn't.
He could've been a Spur if PATFO weren't drunk on draft day.
We lost to the bucks at home without Giannis??This ing team wow
It's not about catching the Dubs at this point; Houston is a half-game back now.
And Andrew Monaco, too.
Perhaps joining the Bucks was the best thing for him.
If he's a Spur, he'd be in Austin now.
This TBH
Spurs had double digit lead (or close to it for most of the game). They generated good looks even when they were missing mostly. They just didn't get the stops.
Spurs have been smoking teams and even with great players missing (Kawhi some, LMa) they are in every game.
