Since when does loss = choke, 100% of the time?
They have choked 80% of the time. That's pretty bad. 2014 was an incredible run but the Spurs don't just lose in the playoffs, they do it in the most embarrassing way possible.

Obviously LMA is important on defense because that layup drill from the Bucks was inexcusable ... Patty a no show and bad execution at the end (I rather see a contested two by Kawhi at this point tbh) ... I hate to go to work after watching like this

Who the is that Brockford, Broccoli or whatever the his last name is? That had to be his career high, tbh.
Always seems to be some random guy you never heard of getting a career high on the Spurs lol. For how many les they have it just seems their luck at times too is just horrible, thank GOD they have 5 to keep us sane.

Man they have had some once in a lifetime losses in the playoffs tbh, how the do you get .4 on you and then 28 seconds as well? THANK GOD they actually won some les or us fans would feel snake bitten.

    He isn't wrong tbh.

    2011 - 8
    2012 - Spurs blew a 2-0 lead
    2013 - 6
2015 - Became the Clippers' sons. The Clippers.
2016 - Choked to the team that choked a 3-1 lead to the team that choked another 3-1 lead.

Need to win this game..the Rockets seemingly have no plans to lose again..currently destroying Hornets without Gordon..
Let the Rockets play keep away from the Cripples; homecourt has been a disadvantage for the Spurs the past two postseason.

Mills has been bad as of late too though. Spurs are gonna be banking a lot on unproven pieces in the postseason if Manu/Mills don't bring it.
    Sell high on Paddy.

Can't even take advantage when they don't have Giannis
Giannis tapped out in the 2nd quarter after Kawhi busted his ass.

Man, Monroe is really playing well lately.
Monroe/Beasley had this game circled on the calendar b/c of what Bertans/Dedmon did to them in Milwaukee.

Poop coaches another loss, Houston getting closer...

If they can't beat Clippers without Griffin or Paul and can barely squeeze out a win against the Rockets, how the do you think Spurs are gonna be in the WCF? Disillusional Spur fan
    Duds are 0-5 vs. Spurs/Cavs/Rockets/Grizz

I think Kawhi is a little scared of missing. I see/feel he's shrinking when it comes to taking a shot or scoring on the last play.
That was obviously a play Pop designed for him to drive & kick since the Bucks were going to swarm him like they had been doing in the 4th quarter.

There's no way I'd pay Patty more than 10 million. If he wants more, cya later. I'd rather use the money to get a defensive PG that can run an offense.

The Spurs didn't have home court against the Clippers two seasons ago. I think they win that series with game 7 in SA. So no, it's not a disadvantage.

You can't choke if you overachieve. Some years we did that. Wasn't until Kawhi came that we were legit le contenders.

If we choked, then so has every other team aside from the team who wins it all

What did he have to say? I don't want to even hear his excuses. Won't ever take the blame for anything.

You can't choke if you overachieve. Some years we did that. Wasn't until Kawhi came that we were legit le contenders.

If we choked, then so has every other team aside from the team who wins it all
They had HCA in 2011, one of the few #1 seeds to choke to an 8th seed. They had HCA in 2012 and a 2-0 lead. Teams with a 2-0 lead win the series 83% of the time. They had a 5 point lead with 30 seconds left to win the le. They literally wheeled out the trophy. Teams with a 5 point lead in the Finals with 30 seconds or less left win the game 99% of the time. In 2015 they had a 3-2 series lead and choked game 6 at home to close out the series, they were up 7 with 5 minutes with Chris Paul missing 15 minutes due to injury and choked it away. In 2016 they had the best record in Spurs history, had one of the most lopsided Game 1 wins ever and HCA...and got humiliated by OKC

Over achieving is when a team has a Cinderella run or a lower seed faces a higher seed. Spurs always blow it in an embarrassing fashion every year this decade outside of 2014.

Again, just stating the facts, it is what it is, and 2014 makes all the other playoff chokes easier to accept since that 2014 le was so incredible. So if people are going to be down on the team or see some glaring weaknesses you can't blame them. Spurs are always built much more for the regular season than the playoffs.

The 'layup drill' was horrible to watch. Ditto on Patty- he was getting torched on defense and couldn't get a shot off. Definitely think a contested 2 by Kawhi was the way to go, but these guys trust each other and Manu was wide open. It's in their DNA to go to the wide open player.

Yeah they only lost Gm 6 at home decisively where the Cripples have owned them in the Doc era.

No doubt in my mind that Kawhi executed the play that Pop had drawn up. Manu just bricked the shot. But the game was being lost all game long by the horrible defense.
