In any other scenario, hr would be shooting well over 20fga if he was that hot.![]()

Too bad he couldn't do it in real games that matter against Matt Barnes and Robertson hahahaha
Carmelo would have 20 shots in the first half if he had it going like Kawhi did in the 1st quarter.![]()
He only set his career high against Gaymond![]()
LOL... look who showed up to do the golden showers show. Tinklebell.![]()
Too bad for his stats. If he`s 10-13 FG, it`s over after 3q.
Makes sense. Kawhi is very efficient and if he's having that kind of game, it will be a blowout and he'll sit the whole 4th.
Pop said he probably lowered Timmy's potential career stats by controlling his minutes in order to protect against injuries in blowouts and to prolong his career. Guess what, Timmy never complained when his minutes went down because of the hit to his career stats. He was all about the team and trying to win championships.
If Kwahi continues that tradition he will miss a few stats but has a much better chance at a long and successful career, including some championships where he is the acknowledged superstar of the team.
The issue with managing minutes of young guys in regular season is that they can't figure out how to fight through mentally and physically fatigue in a game.
If Kawhi never plays a 40 minutes game in the regular season, how he will be able to play well in a needed +40 minute playoffs game if he never did it before in the season.
He plays 33 mpg in the season, played 34 in last playoffs.
Also, Pop started to manage Tim's minutes when he was 29 years old not 25 like Kawhi, 25 years old Tim played 40 mpg in the 2001-02season.
Those minutes would be crazy for Kawhi in today perimeter oriented NBA with so many talented guards and small forwards to guard, but Pop should give him the opportunity to play a BIT more in some games, especially close games.
Not for the scoring or his stats, for the learning experience.

Duncan used to regularly average 38-41mgp in his prime. Pop is full of
Trying to act like the three rings wasn't a TD carried the team on his back
Not if 4 years from now he's still playing with a 37 year old Parker and a 42 year old Ginobli who keeps saying it's his last season.
