What's he going to do that is going to propel the Dems into power. Get us bogged down in a ground war, still win reelection, then preside over the greatest financial crisis since the great depression?

Waiting on the other party to fail doesn't seem like the best strategy.
Whats specific issues do you think the the Republican party has a corner on?

I respectfully disagree that Americans are progressive on the issues. The majority of them couldn't care less about racism, sexism, LBGTQ, white male privilege or whatever else ails these SJWs (gee - I've learned so many terms I'd never heard of a year ago). They care about jobs, affordable health care, their children having an equal/better life than them, comfortable retirement. It worries me that the young have an "well, what can you do about it?" at ude instead of the at ude that Morgan Freeman has in the racism thread.

You're so confident that Trump's gonna mess up? Or that his policies just don't work?
I would point you to polls, but you would just disregard them.

I have no doubt. Look at his agenda, look at Repugs platform (Trash intervened only to protect Pootin), almost 100% of overlap.

If you not in the top 5% or BigCorp, you're gonna get screwed, esp if Dems can't block a Scalia-type activist rightwing extremist. Even if they can, whomever the Repugs nominate will always vote 5-4 with the current rightwing VWRC racist tools.

Elections aren't decided by specific issues, I'm not talking about policy. Political strategy has little to do with policy.

gerrymandering? Faux populism? Tell me about this brilliant political strategy the republicans have employed to relegate the democrats to be a wholly ineffective party.

Republicans, in lather over question of Trump's legitimacy, want—wait for it—Obama to 'step up'

Donald Trump's team is still plenty steamed after a leading House Democrat described Trump as an illegitimate president - and there are now calls for President Barack Obama to act.

Trump's incoming White House chief of staff says the congressman, civil rights leader John Lewis of Georgia, is being "irresponsible" and has started a "firestorm."

Reince Priebus tells NBC's "Meet the Press" that Obama should "step up" and "call it what it is - it's wrong what is happening, it's wrong how some of these Democrats are treating President-elect Trump."

    Indeed.

It’s time for Barack Obama to step up—for the tiny fingered, popular vote losing puppet of Putin, who spent eight years leading the “birther” jag-off movement—and defend Trump’s legitimacy.

He should get right on that.

iow, Repugs can lie, slander, bull , fabricate, harass, witch hunt, deny the legitimacy of anybody non-Repug,

but let just one Dem TELL THE TRUTH about their ILLEGITIMATE bag TRASH,

    and deluded Repugs go runni
ng to their beloved Muslim fist-bumping terrorist foreigner illegit-Pres Obama to legitimize Trash's illegitimacy.

Republicans defend legitimacy of Trump's election

Vice President-elect Mike Pence said on Sunday that he was disappointed by a black civil rights activist and politician's questioning of Donald Trump's legitimacy as president of the United States and his decision to boycott Friday's inauguration.

"We honor the sacrifice that he made," Pence said on CBS' "Face the Nation"

"We need folks like John Lewis, and others who I think have been champions of voter rights, actually recognize the fact that Donald Trump was duly elected," said Priebus.

Hey, Repugs, Trash is an ILLEGITIMATE L.O.S.E.R.

Like dubya telling NAACP convention that he values the black vote (but not black people), Pence "says" he values Lewis' sacrifice (but not Lewis)

‘Absolutely payback’: Katrina Pierson claims Trump ‘actually gains’ power by attacking John Lewis

“He attacked Donald Trump!” Pierson told Fox News host Clayton Morris on Sunday. “And Donald Trump also has a First Amendment right to defend himself.

So this criticism is not fair.

And it’s never supposed to be fair for Republicans

because Republicans are supposed to sit down, shut up and be publicly humiliated and never defend themselves.”

“And all that changed with Donald Trump entered the arena,”

she continued. “And he said several times, ‘If you attack me, I will hit you back.’ That’s exactly what happened here.

This is what Democrats do. They pick a fight and they play the victim.”

Pierson insisted that Trump’s attack on Lewis was “absolutely payback” for undermining his legitimacy.

“This doesn’t hurt Donald Trump’s political clout,” Trump’s former national spokesperson opined. “He actually gains, simply because he is someone who is standing up for himself.”

Donald Trump Really Means What He Says—and Plans to Silence and Intimidate Dissenters

Trump took a divide-and-conquer strategy during that press conference. He zeroed in on CNN and BuzzFeed, attacking them as “fake news” for printing reports — reports that are 100 percent true — that a dossier implicating Trump in Russian espionage efforts was presented by intelligence officials to both Trump and President Obama.

He then praised other outlets for not running with the story (though some did), a rather unsubtle effort to turn journalists against one another.

These middle school bully-style tactics worked, Will Oremus at Slate reports:

    BuzzFeed
was so anathematized that by presser’s end, fellow journalists were picking up their lunch trays and moving to the other side of the cafeteria.

“I can understand why President-elect Trump would be upset” with BuzzFeed, said CNN’s Jake Tapper, a co-author of the very story that had just been impugned in the press conference.

“I would be upset about it, too.”

To put my fellow journalists on blast for a moment:

You should be ashamed of yourselves, letting this doofus whose rhetoric literally sounds like that of a mustache-twirling comic book villain manipulate you, using the same tactics as some schoolyard bully.

Trump Slams NATO, Floats Russia Nuke Deal in European Interview

    Donald Trump

    called NATO obsolete
    ,

predicted that other European Union members would follow the U.K. in leaving the bloc,

and threatened BMW with import duties over a planned plant in Mexico

signaled a major shift in trans-Atlantic relations, including an interest in lifting U.S. sanctions on Russia as part of a nuclear weapons reduction deal.

Trump predicted that Britain’s exit from the EU will be a success and portrayed the EU as an instrument of German domination designed with the purpose of beating the U.S. in international trade. For that reason, Trump said, he’s fairly indifferent to whether the EU stays together,

    he was interested in
making “good deals with Russia,” floating the idea of lifting sanctions that were imposed as the U.S. has sought to punish the Kremlin for its annexation of Crimea in 2014 and military support of the Syrian government.

    https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/articles/2017-01-15/trump-calls-nato-obsolete-and-dismisses-eu-in-german-interview

Trash is a tool of Pootin, who would love to see EU and NATO destroyed.

Then lifting of sanctions so Pootin and Tilliserson can consummate their $500B oil deal, worth $Ts to each of them.

    This ing scary stuff.

ILLEGITIMATE TRASH is totally compromised by Pootin

It doesn't matter now, the "truth", one way or the other, because the damage to Trash as mocking physically disabled is done

    See how that works?

and anyway, Trash is damaged is so many more disturbing, serious ways.

Mocking disabled people, or ing s and doing coke in Moscow, is totally credible for this asshole.

Like "crooked Hillary", "hillary killed 4 Americans at Benghazi", "emails", that sticks, so does "mocking disabled reporter" and "golden showers".

Trash kicking the press out of the White House

Trump’s Plan to Neuter the White House Press Corps, and Neuter Our Democracy

Tyrants don’t allow open questioning, and they hate the free press. They want total control.

That’s why, according to three senior officials on the transition team, the incoming Trump administration is considering evicting the White House press corps from the press room inside the White House and moving them – and news conferences – to a conference center or to the Old Executive Office Building.

This may sound like a small logistic matter. It’s not. The White House “press room” contains work stations and broadcast booths, and the briefing area for presidential news conferences. Reporters have had workspace at the White House since Teddy Roosevelt was president, in 1901.
