I dont have any problem with warriors fans. They're actually better than the boring, lazy, fat, cliche fanbase than san antonio. "We don't care about regular season awards " We don't care about regular season wins ...

    Loud fans are great

    Elitestest fatasses are awful (spursfans)

don't remember a fan base going from respectable to outright garbage this quick tbh. You can tell where all the Laker fans have gone (on top of all the hipsters, millennials, etc)...
    It's disgusting, tbh..

Shumpert being useful on offense is a positive of this game for Cavs and he gets a layup as I type this

At least they actually go to the arena to watch the team play.
Spurs have the heaviest fanbase, not the most frontrunner. Kinda hard to go to games when you weigh 500 lbs and can't fit in one seat.

The new-age Dubs fans are the most elitest in the league, by far. Especially when you consider most of them didn't watch basketball or rooted for another Cali team three years ago.

Or are the cavs baiting the w's into thinking they don't need to add inside help to ring?

Cavs are playing with house money, tbh..can't see them being motivated enough to win again..

They just had the most impressive le win in NBA history and broke a 60+ year Cleveland drought, can't imagine a team being hungry enough to repeat after that(not to mention GS was a better team, anyways)..

Key suspension and key injuries. Yeah, that chain of events is definitely hard to repeat.

KD's defense has just been awesome at times this year. So weird to see him giving that kind of effort so consistently.

I hate his move to go to GS, but can't help but respect his new found commitment to consistent D.

Only reason to think cavs can repeat is?betting on J as message if it's close Kyrie is clutch and his handles are amazing...but as good as he can be only LeBron can deliver a repeat

Absolutely took a ton of luck. Hard to see them winning again unless some other big trade is made.

They still watch the games. A fanbase value is directly related to the kind of environment they create in a staduim and the influence they have on player recognition.

San Antonio is a 60+ win team who is only 2.5 years removed from a ring, yet At&t is not even a top 10 arena and they could barely get their superstar to start a silly all-star game.

Face it, outside of the hardcore fans in spurstalk (many of which dont even live in San Antonio)..the san antonio fanbase in general.is lame.

I don't care if they're lame or not, this isn't about that. This is about how a strong fanbase with good fans became a huge bandwagon full of fair-weather fans with no knowledge of the game that disrespect everything about the NBA we used to like/still enjoy. We saw a similar happening with the Heatles but never to this obnoxious level.

All I hear from most commentators/journalists/talking heads is "when the Warriors make it to the Finals", "when these teams meet up in the Finals" etc. I'm not a believer in the Spurs and obviously the Dubs should be favored, but God damn not even the Heat got this much blatant favoritism.

lol. Very good point. I hate seeing that weak ass crowd in SA. The fans don't deserve the team to stay in SA if they can't fill the seats when they have a winning team.

Well even the pre game ads call this matchup Round 2. The league is hoping they get a 3peat matchup which is very much realistic with the way the league looks. I think the Spurs match up pretty well with Golden State but Pop is a playoff liability these days on top of the other problems the Spurs have.
