Lol, the claim that people had w/Kawhi hurting it was funny stuff.

But, it's not like defense we're used to, but it's near the tops in terms of the way the game is played today. And there's still lots of time to improve. They don't play 48 mins of lockdown D anymore. But lots of times they'll have at least a quarter or 2 where they just take teams and locked them down. That might be as good as it gets tbh.

I think there are lineups Pop can go to for defense. Let's just hope he's keeping that under his sleeve for playoff time

Yeah, I keep hearing these arguments about how the game is played today. But, to me, defense involves getting stops. I keep seeing these quarters, halves, games, when the Spurs can't stop . I guess there are other times when the opponents aren't hitting anything, and the numbers average out. But if you can't impose your will and get stops, you're not playing good defense.

I guess I'm just living in the past.

Well it's not like the Spurs have zero chance of ringing, they definitely have to have lots of things go their way. But they're also a top 3 team in the league when everything is clicking.

For sure man, but honestly, I think this a really flawed roster and not a team built for the playoffs. But seeing as to how there are few truly elite teams let's see what happens.

I just don't know how far this team can with LMA as their second best player.

But that's the problem, while the Spurs have a strong ceiling, everything clicking rarely happens.

Well, we shall see. But odds are Spurs have a better chance than most. But other than CLE / GS there really aren't any dominate teams. Spurs are better than most everyone else, even if it's not by a lot. Spurs have more headroom than most too.
