Some players talk a big game and constantly want attention. Khawi doesn't say anything and just goes out and produces on the court.
bitter players who constantly need a drip of social media approval from random internet nerd followers
"I have more followers than Khawi"

this is strange, Lebron has always respected Duncan, Kawhi has the same kind of behavior, I think Windhorst wants to create something to talk about the game of Saturday

Wonder if windhorst slipped up by dropping Lebron's name because didn't say LeBron, he said not just LeBron. Sounds like a doh moment.

I wouldn't be surprised if Windhorst was lying. He's a blowhard that coattailed LeBron and is essentially manipulated by LeBron just like the Cavs. I think he has these "hot shot" takes to make people think that he's "in" with the players and give himself some kind of street cred. But I'm also sure if anyone played up Kawhi's ability to guard LeBron in LeBron's presence, LeBron would scoff. He's the guy who suppressed a video of a college player dunking on him in a pickup game.

Neither do I - Lebron practically called the Spurs underrated last week.

    Windhorst confirmed it.
    Gotta be true then!

In a way. He's regressed quite a bit from last season which is annoying.

    He's still really really good.
    Never post again. Thanks.

LeBron loves Pop tbh; doesn't mean he doesn't think Kawhi is overrated. The argument they were using was that Kawhi is as good as he is thanks to the Spurs' organization and that if he was on 15 other teams he'd be an above average player. Personally, it sounds like jealousy to me; some of them put themselves in horrible situations by their own stupid actions (Fatmelo).

His shooting numbers are pretty similar, while upping his shots per game and scoring per game while also increasing his efficiency 49%/42%/92% shooting splits for a wing player averaging 25 ppg is excellent.
His rebounding has dipped along with his steals because he is being put on an island, forcing him farther away from the play and the ball.

Brian, wait until Pop lets Kawhwawa push the accelerator to the floor. He's let him move to the front passenger seat from the rear of the Caddy but wait until he chucks him the keys.

I don't hate on the LeBron like I used to, especially after him doing the impossible bringing a le to Cleveland and then humbling the Dubs so I wouldn't have to hear all that greatest team ever talk after a back to back. He is however known to throw shade and I am sure he doesn't appreciate a player whose coolest nickname (and ties into TV's hottest show) is the KingSlayer.

I'm not surprised. NBA players have repeatedly shown over the years, that the players they value most, are ones who fit into their modern day, narrow minded stereotype of what a great basketball player should play, look and act like. Flawed players like Bryant, Iverson and Westbrook, are worshipped, because they check every box: athletic, dynamic perimeter players, who average(d) a ton of points, looked the part and possess the requisite on court demeanor/mannerisms.

Despite all the cliché comments opposing players feed the media when asked, Spurs players have been underrated for years and it only became further exacerbated post '14, when the masses couldn't grasp how a team with no player playing at a superstar level could not only win a championship, but do so in the fashion they did, so they chalked it up to "Pop's genius/system". Every other consensus all-time great NBA coach is seemingly supposed to apologize for having coached an all-time great player(s) (as if they're not the primary ingredient to winning a championship in any sport), but somehow Pop is the one who's players were more fortunate to have him than the other way around.

Could Windhorst be doing the same thing McMullan did when she tried to instigate LMA wanting to be traded?

True he does love Pop, but there have also been a couple times he's praised Kawhi.

    On who defends him best:

“Kawhi Leonard. Kawhi Leonard, he’s solid, He’s solid, solid at that end of the floor. He’s very, very solid. I like him. I like the kid.”
    https://www.slamonline.com/nba/lebro...-defends-best/

Either way, if it's jealous animosity then so be it - haters.

Not watching it or reading anything but I'm assuming Windhorst is getting passive aggressive bc people are talking about Kawhi more and not LeBron as much and it's hurting his feelings

Brian Windbag must be on Spurstalk. Brian must be squeezed into Lebron's game worn jersey and is fapping it good reading the fallout of his trolling.

His rebounding has dipped along with his steals because he is being put on an island, forcing him farther away from the play and the ball.
He's shooting 3 percent less from 3 and 2 percent less from the field. He's playing worse defense in the eye test as well as the numbers. I'll admit the three is partially because of the extra shot. The island theory has been wholly debunked as more evidence came in. His on ball defense is worse either way.

Also I did say he was really good. There's no evidence that he's in any way better, and there's evidence he's worse yet people keep saying its another huge leap.

His gravitational fat mass just pulled that lady right out of orbit.
She is stuck to that jello surface.

Proff that playing for the spurs is Anti-narrative. If kawhi was playing for a different team he'd be the MVP now.

It all boils down to what Popvich has wanted this team be centered around. His philosophy. And proff nba players cant be bothered tp watch games.
    No he would not.

He would be a possible top 3 scorer in the league on a team hopelessly out of the playoffs. I'm sure KL would love that.

you would think given his size that he'd be a big (no pun intended) Spurs fan.
