I on Manu for 2013 since he absolutely deserves to be on for it, but .04? Nah. It wasn't exactly a 7 game series and Manu was pretty new to the NBA anyway.

That's as silly as it would be to blame Kawhi for the loss for missing his free throw in Manu's bed ting game 6.

Manu gets a pass for .04 imo. I don't care too much about the Dirk play anymore either. We were in a good position because of him so it's unfair to come down on him for it; unlike game 6 where he was ty for most of that series and really mediocre all season anyway.

Since when does Manu ever get a free pass for anything? Next to Kawhi, he's the most hated and criticized Spur on this website and one of the go-to scapegoats for every loss. After the 2013 Finals, upstairs was basically scorched earth against Manu and all Manu fans for a full calendar year. Meanwhile, threads criticizing certain other players get deleted, merged or locked on sight.

The real question is why Porker gets a free pass for those series. Against the Lakers in 2004, he had a disgusting .421 TS% but still chucked up almost 20 shots per game - more than Duncan or Manu took. Against the Mavs in 2006, Rique chucked up almost as many shots as prime Duncan and more than Manu and only managed a .478 TS%. And in 2013, Porky took as many shots per game than Duncan and more than Kawhi, on a meager .472 TS%. He got outplayed by Mario Chalmers down the stretch of that series, culminating in a stained 3-12 shooting night in Game 7 where he made no positive impact on the game.

Manu elevates his game in the playoffs. Porker is statistically the second-biggest playoff choke artist in NBA history. And yet Manu somehow gets the "choker" label due to a couple dumb plays in a career full of playoff heroics. New-age Spurfan is really, really dumb.

In each of the le runs, there were certain series where either Tony or Manu or both stepped up big to compliment Tim. Glad Tim was able to get that help to beat some of the monster teams in the 2000s and avoid becoming a one-hit wonder with the unfair stigma of winning a le in a shortened season. If Tim only had '99, people would have treated him as if he had never won a le.
