Has there ever been a year where the possible MVP (Westbrook) didn't start in the All-Star Game?
Terrible. Curry shouldn't be starting this year

I don't think so. I mean, the only 3 guys ahead of him there are all having MVP seasons. Kawhi is too, but he's probably ranked 4 in MVP voting behind those 3.

Durant has been amazing and plays both ends and his team is the best. Harden has been even better and HOU is much better than anyone thought. Russ is a beast too.

Spurs have now been represented by a player in 38 of the 40 All-Star Games since San Antonio joined the NBA in 1976 - the most of any team.

The fans did it up considering Pachulia was the second leading vote getter for the WC frontcourt.
That would be the biased fans from the country of Georgia.

Kyle Anderson got a player vote.
    So did Bryn Forbes . . . .

Some of the players didn't appear to take this very seriously or decided to give votes to friends.

The list of players who got at least 1 vote for 1 of only 5 starting spots is fairly absurd:

i agree with you both. there is an argument for all those players you named, d. i don't have any problem with kawhi's overall vote, but i think the player vote should be a closer race. i did hear on the radio that a lot of the top players in the league think kawhi is overrated so that could also be a reason he was 4th in the player vote.

I got you - ya, Kawhi definitely closer to KD/WB/Harden this year than he is Cousins.

I wonder if coaches pick Porzingis instead of Melo. Would be great to see that cancer Melo cry at being left off the all stars.

I'm sure the masses will complain about Curry over Westbrook, but I don't have a problem with it. I'd have went with Paul over both had he stayed healthy though.

Kawhi got the third-most votes from the players in the West, second most from the media.
