I read it but didn't watch it... I didn't really get a dark tone from it either. It was certainly more positive than his RNC speech.

I liked that the focus was on jobs. Hopefully he delivers on that.

But if it's really about putting government back in control of the people... the "people" favor socially liberal policy. So we'll see how much voice "the people" actually have once Republicans start putting forward their regressive social legislation.

How so you idiot? You know more physicians closed their practices than new ones opened since ACA? You know that over 50k Physicians in America flat out refuse to accept ANY insurances now and ONLY accept cash. They call themselves concierge doctors as they refuse to let a shaky, unstable insurance market control their business' profits and whom they take on as their patients. I know this as a fact because I got their contract last year to drive more members (physicians) to their organization's model. The things they stressed is the absolute lack of understanding in how they operate by the mainstream media and the common misconception that ACA helps their practice when they are generally 100% against ACA and insurance companies essentially telling them how to run their practices. Businesses are private and shouldn't have to conform to outside interests just to remain compe ive and profitable.

Yeah one physician at my wife's practice went concierge. Cut his patient load by 85% and makes $100k more. Wish my wife would do it but she's burdened by compassion for the 2500 patients she would have to kick to the curb.
