I'm a conservative, voted for Trump, hated Obama, hated the Clintons even more......but, I am not going to stop being a lifelong Spurs fan, just cause a coach or player has different political views than I do. I will say this, I do not understand all the Trump bashing and blame. He wasn't even the President yet, and all the country's problems were being thrown at him by his haters.

I understand if you don't like him. He is still the President of the US and should at least be given an opportunity to show what he can do. Give him a year do try and get things done, and if he fails to deliver, then march, protest, call your representative or senator, and definitely go to the ballot box in 2020. Also, if you are going to march or protest, do it peacefully. You have no right to vandalize or destroy personal or public property during your demonstration.

As for all the Congressmen and women who did not go to the inauguration, I feel they should be reprimanded. I don't care who the President is, you have a duty to show respect to the office, as an elected official. I find their actions to be childish, immature, disrespectful, and classless.

I was accepted to the USAF Academy but my father advise me not to go b/c you are required to do 8 years of service as oppose to 4 years if you just go through OTS. It was a wise choice as I got out of the OTS b/c I knew my wife couldn't handle to rigors of Military life as I was sent to be a US Intelligent Operative in the DIA.

Military Prep Schools are stricter than the USAF Academy if you didn't know. There is a reason they cost like 30k+ a year to attend. Pop just needs to shut the F up already and do his job. If he wants to get interview by ABC, CNN, etc. schedule an interview. But postgame and NBA interviews aren't a place to talk politics. He is a doing a fantastic job coaching the Spurs this year, stick with it, and stop being so butt hurt over something you can't control at this point.

America's success as a country is also not inexorably linked to Trump's victories while in the White House. He could "fail", as in not getting a large percentage of his proposals passed and the country still does well in spite of that. He could fail and the country's economy bombs. He could succeed with his bill passages and the country's economy/infrastructure could fall apart. All of those are possible. Wishing Trump to fail in enacting legislation that aids in the discrimination of other people, the destruction of the planet, or furthers the gap between the rich and middle class/poor is not being unpatriotic and it's not wishing for the United States to fail.

Similar deal for me. Dad is a USAF vet and had a buddy who was willing to sponsor my USAFA application, but advised I go to his alma mater (A&M) instead. Damn glad I did--wife and I just left the service within the past year or so, mainly because she was in Intel and those 4 years burnt her out (and made it tough to try to start a family). I got med boarded so it was a moot point, anyways.
