TBH I had a problem with Trump going in on Barry McWonderbama, too. Not a fan of smear politics.

Especially when the rhetoric is against a sitting POTUS. Too easy/lazy.

Was never an Obama fan, but damn right I respected him and his office. Even got the chance to shake his hand once. It was an honor. He was eventually my commander-in-chief. He gave the order to go kill something or go die somewhere, that was my duty, and there's gravitas that comes with that.

Just too easy to take potshots instead of offering solutions, tbh.

I don't get the "public figure disrespecting the office of the POTUS" angle either, tbh...

Wasn't the current POTUS, prior to his political career and during his entertainer, public figure phase of his life, speaking widely about the sitting president and politics in general?

And he wasn't alone, there has been a load of public figures making speeches in all sorts of places about the prez and politics overall...

But now this is an issue?

And it goes even before Barry, tbh... A lot of people called dubya illegitimate prior to 9/11, due to losing the popular vote too.
I think people were calling Bush illegitimate mostly because of the Florida recount being called off. I think the illegitimate talk is stupid here, Trump clearly won all his states. I suspect most of the illegitimate talk comes from the alleged russian hacking.

I was 20 feet away from the man himself in DC once... it's surreal, even if you don't like him or his policies.

It's all butthurt, if you ask me. But Pop didn't call him illegitimate either, to be fair. Other people sure did though.

Sore losers who just can't fathom that their candidate was just as as the candidate that eventually won

The man can hold a room. Excellent public speaker. He came to my campus since the SecDef at the time was the former president of my school. Obama has charisma for days. No denying that. Actually pissed me off even more that the most the GOP could offer as "opposition" was stale McCain and bland Romney

I think Romney would have won in 2012 if it wasn't for Ryan and his medicare privatization crap. Obama's numbers were in the ter back then. Trump was smart enough to not run on that but I won't be surprised if he goes along with Ryan. The McCain nomination made sense since the GOP had no hope whatsoever of winning in 2008 coming off Bush's reign of terror.

Took my folks to visit DC, we were staying at a hotel right next to FEMA, and the motorcade went through a couple times. The whole thing was surreal. Sudden street closing, ambulances, choppers, the two equal looking limos, the suburban with the back door open with the guy sitting holding a machine gun...

It was like the main attraction at an amusement park

And yet not one single video of him doing this despite the 1,000s of balls and parties he has attended over the pat 30 years. He just in tellin it like it is. Trump is a one woman man. When he was having an affair with Marla Maples, he wasn't even having sex with Ivanka. And in court, it was brought out that she use to hit him and throw silverware and plates at him b/c he never spent any time with her. The woman was bonkers.

Dude, most guys talk like this. I have seen ugly guys, dorks, nerds, etc. say worse. Most guys are just primitive animals when curbing their primal urges. Until Trump starts ordering pros utes in the White House and getting head in the Oval Office, I don't think ANYONE who supported Bill Clinton has right to say a damn thing about him. Bunch of in Hypocrites, actually than hypocrites.
i'm really glad he wasn't ing his daughter tbh

I think Condi Rice would have been the smart pick in 2012, but she's smart enough to not run

Tbh no matter what the candidates do, it's hard to win a third term in a row. Political pendulum naturally swings back and forth, and there's a lot that can go wrong in 8 years to sour folks who originally supported you.

Trump timed it right. Hillary timed it wrong (she should have been the pick in '08, but Obama had momentum and the dems wisely rode the hot hand).

Damn that's crazy Perfect description, too. For mine, everyone knew the SecDef was coming, but no one knew for sure about the POTUS (guess they were trying to keep it hush-hush for whatever reason).

Cool experience. Will never forget it.

Speaking of D.C., I need to take my wife to visit. She's never been. I lived there when I was a kid when my dad was at the Pentagon. That was back in the mid 90s, though.

I'm a big Holt fan too. He's easily the best owner the team ever had (with Red McCombs being the worst).

No doubt. The National Mall is amazing. Heck, just take one of those open top buses that take you around the city. They make stops everywhere, and you can hop right back. We visited Arlington too, the whole thing was great.

Such a great city, sucks it's full of crooks, lol.

yeah bruh. All the Smithsonians are great but the A&S one is ing incredible.

Really enjoyed the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials, and the Washington monument, of course. So much goddamn history all over the place--always worth the trip.

Probably go in a couple of years after my kid does a little growing up.

If you're ever out in San Diego, you gotta check their air & space museum too. They have a freaking A-12 (one of the early versions of the SR-71 Blackbird) in a climbing pose right there at the entrance. Last time I was there they had this great exhibit of WWI planes that I had never seen anything like before, but that was a one time thing. Lots of cool planes on the nearby aircraft carrier you can go on and in too (I forget which it is).

    It's "routing".

No, I'm going to stay and respond to posts here. Then I'll leave or return when I wish. And you'll use name calling (aka ad hominem) because you've been taught that is sufficient. However, calling others names shows a lack of class and, often, intellect. You might want to change your strategy.

I meant Ivana. But the way people talk around here, they probably would be down with that. Craster from GOT is probably their Hero.
