Interestingly, even Breitbart doesn't take issue with the substance of Pop's quotes; that story, at least, is just an accurate reporting of what Pop actually said (and unlike the President, if someone were to quote this back to Pop, he wouldn't deny having said precisely what he actually said).
The idea that this wouldn't be "the way the Spurs organization wants to go" is laughable. It would look *really* bad for the organization to tell a military veteran that offering what might be (to some) an unpopular opinion makes his voice on political matters unwelcome. Politics aside, it's actually a testament to the organization's strength that its leaders trust Popovich to be candid in public, particularly since he keeps himself well-educated on current events and cultivates a demonstrably inquiring mind.

Do you really think pop has actually watched or listened to trump actually speaking in its entirely? Or just basing his nonsense on little clips and headlines he sees? Given that he didnt even know trump became the nominee until someone told him, id say he doesnt exactly follow this stuff closely. Hes a fool for talking out his ass when he literally doesnt know what hes talking about
