I'm not starting anything. But if things keep going down this path, that outcome is inevitable.
No it isn't inevitable. People like yourself will just talk tough on the internet and then do nothing more than wait for someone else to act, like you just did here. For the last 8 years liberals have told extremely well armed conservatives that if they ever rose up against the government the military would annihilate them in a few days and now all of the sudden these same liberals are frothing at the mouth for their own revolution armed with nothing more than skinny jeans and pussyhats

Do you doubt that he will hang himself?
Yep. You'll have to do to him what they did to Sterling=drag Trump into the street after committing a crime against him and high tech lynch him. And this time, unlike with Sterling they won't have to assuage their consciences by cutting him a $2 billion bank draft. Trump already has his $2 billion.

Then? Well then we can get back to SOP, and our ing.

National Parks Are Tweeting Climate Science After Trump Gags EPA

Refusing to be silenced by President Trump, some of America’s national parks have been tweeting about climate change.

While this might sound pedestrian (and it should), most Twitter handles managed by the National Park Service haven’t mentioned the topic since Trump staffers temporarily gagged the Department of the Interior account for retweeting photos of his meager inauguration turnout.

The fear inside the agency is palpable; especially since Trump issued an edict banning Environmental Protection Agency employees from sharing information on social media.

But today, some brave souls at Badlands National Park in South Dakota, and Golden Gate National Recreation Area in California, decided to tweet truth to power.

Over the course of a few hours, the Badlands National Park Twitter account shared a series of facts about atmospheric carbon dioxide and ocean acidification. While the term “climate change” was never mentioned, the intent of the tweets was self-evident: Man-made activity is the primary driver of climate change.

From Russia with love: How Donald Trump uses Kremlin propaganda techniques against the American people

Whatever the truth is about Trump and Putin, Trump's political rise was built on Russian-style propaganda

Writing at Small Wars Journal, Roman Skaskiw has highlighted the following core principles of Russian propaganda:

    1. Rely on dissenting political groups in Western countries for dissemination.
    2. Domestic propaganda is most important.
    3. Destroy and ridicule the idea of truth.
    4. “Putin is strong. Russia is strong.”
    5. Headlines are more important than reality, especially while first impressions are forming.
    6. Demoralize.
    7. Move the conversation.
    8. Pollute the information space.
    9. Gas lighting — accuse the enemy of doing what you are doing to confuse the conversation.

    Trump and his spokespeople

    appeal to “alternative facts,”

employ fake news and other forms of disinformation,

exploit and amplify dissent between the Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders factions of the Democratic Party and

    deploy Orwellian Newspeak.

The Trump team promotes a dystopian and apocalyptic vision of America where only the Great Leader with his supposed strength and virility can successfully intervene,

and displays blatant disregard for its campaign promises.

Trump’s people use Twitter and other social media

to cause controversy and distraction, as well as

to spread bullying behavior and insults, threats of violence against his political rivals,

    militant nationalism and

    conspiracy theories about “illegal” voters.

All of this represents a direct application of Russian propaganda strategies to American politics.

strategy for manipulating the public and news media would not be effective, however, if a pre-existing superstructure was not already in place.

In the United States, this takes the form of a right-wing news-entertainment system that is anchored by Fox News and whose tendrils include talk radio and a vast internet propaganda operation.

Trump’s use of Russian propaganda techniques is also made viable because of a nationwide decline in critical thinking skills, coupled with a 20-year growth in authoritarian values among conservatives, right-leaning independents and Republicans.

But for all their cynicism, the spin doctors and political technologists were, at this point, still trying to pull off an illusion of the truth.

Their stories were meant to be coherent, even if they were low on facts. When reality caught up — the audience caught on to the illusion in Moscow and the stories about Iraq broke down and the stock market crashed —

one reaction has been to double down, to deny that facts matter at all, to make a fetish out of not caring about them.

This has many benefits for rulers — and is a relief for voters.

Putin doesn’t need to have a more convincing story,

he just has to make it clear that everybody lies,

undermine the moral superiority of his enemies and

convince his people there is no alternative to him.

“When Putin lies brazenly he wants the West to point out that he lies,” says the Bulgarian political scientist Ivan Krastev, “so he can point back and say, ‘but you lie too.'”

And if everyone is lying then anything goes, whether it’s in your personal life or in invading foreign countries.

This is a (dark) joy. All the madness you feel, you can now let it out and it’s okay.

The very point of Trump is

to validate the pleasure of spouting ,

    the joy of pure emotion,

    often anger, without any sense.

And an audience which has already spent a decade living without facts can now indulge in a full, anarchic liberation from coherence.

Website given first question at Trump press conference scrubs video calling Clintons muderers

White House Press Secretary Sean er gave his first question during Tuesday’s press conference to a reporter from Lifezette, a news and opinion site that pushed a debunked claim alleging Bill and Hillary Clinton murdered their political foes.

The site, founded by conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, recently scrubbed referenced to the video, which claimed the former President and Secretary of State murdered several people who threatened their political aspirations,

Similarly, Ingraham’s site removed an article about the “Clinton Curse” which claimed it is “hard to deny that being close with the Clintons could kill you,” according to Right Wing Watch.

Trump administration tells EPA to cut climate page from website: sources
    http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN15906G

    By Valerie Volcovici | WASHINGTON

U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has instructed the Environmental Protection Agency to remove the climate change page from its website, two agency employees told Reuters, the latest move by the newly minted leadership to erase ex-President Barack Obama's climate change initiatives.

The employees were notified by EPA officials on Tuesday that the administration had instructed EPA's communications team to remove the website's climate change page, which contains links to scientific global warming research, as well as detailed data on emissions. The page could go down as early as Wednesday, the sources said.

"If the website goes dark, years of work we have done on climate change will disappear," one of the EPA staffers told Reuters, who added some employees were scrambling to save some of the information housed on the website, or convince the Trump administration to preserve parts of it.

The sources asked not to be named because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

A Trump administration official did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

House GOP quietly closes investigation into Flint water crisis
    http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/...investigation/

While the Republican chairman signaled the apparent conclusion of the inquiry — Congress ended its session last week for a three-week holiday break — the panel’s senior Democrat insisted the investigation continues and accused Michigan’s Republican governor of stonewalling the committee over do ents related to the Flint water crisis.

Rep. Elijah mings of Maryland, senior Democrat on the oversight panel, said he wants Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder to produce key Flint-related do ents within 30 days. mings said Snyder and his administration have obstructed the committee’s investigation into the Flint crisis for a year, refusing to provide — or even search for — key do ents.

Snyder’s intransigence has thwarted committee efforts to answer critical questions about what he knew as the crisis unfolded and why he didn’t act sooner to fix Flint’s water problem, mings said.

“Requiring Governor Snyder to finally comply with the committee’s request will allow us to complete our investigation and offer concrete findings and recommendations to help prevent a catastrophe like this from happening again,” mings wrote to Chaffetz. “In contrast, allowing Governor Snyder to flout the committee’s authority will deny the people of Flint the answers they deserve.”

It’s highly unlikely Republicans who control Congress will continue the inquiry next year.

A little more than a useful idiot. Seems he'll use the ridiculous and staged shenanigans to distract the media and American populace while he ramrods a pretty hardcore conservative agenda through congress.

We'll see what comes of this populist agenda. As we've already seen with his proposal to implement congressional term limits, congress can pretty much curb anything they vehemently oppose with little opposition from Donald.

I didn't. About the best case scenario for Trump's term is that he actually lives up to his campaign promises of not eliminating Medicare the way Ryan wants. The Senate Democrats need to filibuster everything including any supreme court nominee.

I appreciate the optimism that the EPA will be business as usual in a week, but that seems unsupported. If Trump is going to go ape every time a news agency publishes something he doesn't like, imagine how difficult it's going to be for an agency under his control.
