Great trade for the Cavs, if all they had to give up was Dunleavy Jr. Korver is a very skilled shooter, he's 35 now but can still shoot and play good basketball. Atlanta could have got a better deal for Korver, so I don't understand why they decided to help out a rival team.

Aldridge and Danny for Butler and RoLo.
So would you do Aldridge, Murray, picks for Butler, Mirotic?

To be fair with the FO, not even the Bulls FO knew Butler would be this good. That 2011 draft was outstanding all things considered.
The same could be said for Leonard. Spurs PATFO certainly gets a lot of free passes.

I'm more way pissed that we passed on Jokic to get Anderson or the fact that we had to waste a pick to get rid of Jefferson when the 2012 draft was loaded with talent in the 2nd round. Draymond Green, Krhis Middleton, Will Barton, Jae Crowder, Kyle O'Quinn ..Any of those guys would look good in a SA jersey now.
Frankly, I am not sure that any team could have developed both Kawhi and Butler to the potential they have both realized in separate organizations - not even the Spurs.

I wouldn't say Korver puts the Cavs over the top on the Warriors ridiculous lineup (Durant, Curry, Green, Thompson, Pachulia, Iguodala). I watched the Christmas game and Durant was giving them fits if he plays aggressive like that. TBH I have no idea how a Cavs/Warriors Finals will go this time, it could lean either way really, the Cavs are stacked. The one thing that sucks for the general NBA fan that does not live in San Francisco or Cleveland, is it's so predictable who will be in the Finals, it's boring now. Injurys to either team though could open the door up a bit for San Antonio, Clippers, Thunder and Celtics, Raptors. If either team gets eliminated before the Finals it will be considered a huge upset.

Yeah, pretty much. I had that called even before the Korver trade.

I'd consider it a much bigger upset if a team other than Cleveland comes out of the East than a team other than the Warriors coming out of the West. That is, unless Boston or Toronto make a huge move.

Korver isn't near the same player he was from around 11-15, but still slightly better than current TOSB Dunleavy.
He's more like the Heatles version of Mike Miller.

Cavs defense has been horrific since his acquisition, 4 for 7 from three but -17 against the Queens (Marco status)

people on ST talk of players being cancers well Korver might be one of the worst ever have you seen the Cav's record since he arrived and the Hawks since he left??? I was mad that the Cavs got him basically for nothing but the Hawks might have been smart to get rid of him, maybe Korver is the NBA's version of the monkey's paw.

Getting a good 3pt shooter for snickers and cola can't be bad. How was Dunleavy doing? Was it worse than Korver?

To be honest, the way the Cavs are stinking it up, it's diminishing the Spurs win and Kawhi's performance. This may be the worst level of compe ion in the NBA since the Lakers in 2001.
