he hasnt changed, dude was one of the most entertaining announcers with the crazy stuff he used to say.
Only in retrospect. It's painful to hear that live.
great human being. I wish I was more like him IRL. I have family members like him in spirit
I wish he still did Clippers games with Ralph. Mike Smith is insufferable.
Bill Walton is a national treasure tbh
thats the stuff I miss, no other annoucers can touch that tbqh
That's pretty damn great.![]()
Definitely the GOAT color guy. I loved when he would spend the entire telecast ting all over Olowokandi.
Though I am still kind of pissed at him for saying Kobe was making the twin towers look like the twin sisters in game 1 of the 01 WCF.![]()
He was kind of loitering the SLA during their heyday when Gates told him to walk away from it. About a week later they burned them down.
'Twas the summer of '85 when the Lakers spurned an offer for Walton.
Followed was a phone call amongst Billy Walton, Red and Larry Bird. Result was one of the GOAT 1986 World Champion Celtics. We wouldn't see another like them for decades.
Only the death of Lenny Bias and Stern riggin the rest saved the rest of the 80s from a Celtics sweep.
Yeah, Bias, gonna make him a PG was what they was gonna do. Uh, uh. Slabbed & tagged. ha, ha.
We punished Walton in '87.
He's got a years supply of Dr. Scholls Products courtesy of the Lakers.
MS was a great college player. He's a ty color man.
Twas good for a guttural laugh.
The marketing products you buy.![]()
Agreed. Magic never gets that hook shot either w/o the phony call to give the ball to the Lakers in the first place.
Lol that was Lakers ball
n McHale fumbled it
No. The Laker hit the ball from behind. Even if he hit it very technically off of Kevin's hand, that call was routinely made in favor of the team with position in lieu of calling cheap fouls.
Did he say D flat? It's E flat but not sure what he actually said. Either way, he couldn't finish his thought because the drugs were kicking in.
rofl i miss his on-air vision quests
