Kawhi can guard Westbrook so that won't be an issue. He's always had success locking him down. Utah does not scare me they have no legit star. Hayward and Hill are good players but they are not difficult to guard. They are not great penetrators. So they can't really take advantage of the spurs lack of rim protectors. Gobert is a great defensive player and they can play a grind out game with the spurs but that type of style favors the Spurs. In my eyes I don't give them a small chance at all to beat the spurs. They have a tiny chance of doing it if a key spurs player gets injured.
Success locking him down isn't holding him to 30 PPG on 45% shooting tbh. He also won't have Duncan locking down the paint to act as a safety blanket. They may not have a legit star but that won't stop them from having superior players at every position outside SF potentially. Like I said, Spurs should still win but a first round exit is a real possibility if things don't improve.

We're a first round exit this year against the majority of potential playoff teams.

We can't defend ANYONE and can't rebound for . We have THREE 6'11-ish guys and somehow NO rim protection.

It really doesn't matter who we draw. We're done.

Let's figure out how to get out of this LaMarcus Aldridge contract.

I don't recall that happening last year when Kawhi spent most of his time guarding Westbrook in the playoffs. Westbrook's numbers in that series was 25.2 points on 37 percent shooting. Duncan is my favorite player of all time but he was clearly washed up in that series last year. So you can't even use that argument of him being Kawhi's safety net. Westbrook is profoundly stupid player that I don't fear. He's the type of player that will take 30 bad shots to get his points but can't make the other players around him better. Those types of players never go far in the playoffs unless they have stacked teams which he no longer has. Unless the Spurs have injuries I don't see them struggling with OKC.

Clippers and Knicks in talks about a possible Melo trade w/o taking any of the Clips BIG3 back

    PG - CP3 - Parker
    SG - Wes Johnson/Austin Rivers - Danny
    SF - Melo - Kawhi
    PF - Blake - LMA
    C - DJordan - Dedmon

Likely Red , Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers/Wes Johnson are gone. Still, that SL looks scary good and hard to defend tbh. Now the weak spot is at the SG position.

if they give up Red and Crawful for FatMelo the matchup completely turns in the Spurs' favor. What is with everyone's fascination with names?

Well, there is a chance Melo has a late career resurgence as the 3rd option. It takes a lot of pressure off of him. Not sure. It could turn out good for the Spurs or they could jell and it could turn out worse.

Third option or not, it gives Leonard somebody to guard while said player can't guard him at the other end. On top of that they lose key role players against the Spurs. This move would be made moreso to match up with the Dubs in a potential second round series than to beat the Spurs.

The media hype would be ridiculous penciling Clipps Dubs in the WCF because its what "all NBA fans want".

We just can't get over this team tbh. Tonight the Spurs were w/o DLeague but LAC was w/o Austin MJ Rivers.

Glad we play the winner of OKC/HOU matchup.
