Pop more than likely won't do it, but he really should call out opposing coaches. This was supposedly the year the Spurs were going to take a step back, yet here they are, once again the only team in the same stratosphere as the Warriors, yet those pukes get 4 and they get 1? All this talk about trust, sacrifice, etc. and in the end, even for those that supposedly know the game the best, they're no different than the casual fan/majority of the media: despite all of today's information, it still comes down to counting stats and campaigning behind the scenes.
It's possible Pop and his system have stepped into a stratosphere at this point that players themselves are not credited for good play within Pop's system.

Kawhi was just more than deserving and his numbers, record, and efficiency have been off the charts.. but I am sure they look at Lamarcus and let's be honest, he didn't play that well to start the season, then he hasn't been that different statistically from Pau who was an AllStar recently himself. Lee has terrific numbers in less minutes and there was a stretch of a few games that Patty and Kawhi were the best Spurs players (short lived as it was, Patty saved the Spurs a loss here or there where Lamarcus went missing ... the Mavs games comes to mind.)

I really don't care about it bottom line, like $pursDynasty said... but it feels like a disrespect to only have the 1 when GSW has 4. Maybe the disrespect is for GSW to have 4 AS when there are others deserving in the western conference as well.

I suppose they invited JSimms to the rookie/sop re game to make up for it...

At people pretending as if it's solely about merit, with the exception of the no brainers. You know who else got off to a slow start and is a worse player to begin with? Thompson, yet no one seems to take issue with him making it (and he will make it, because he's the most overrated player in the league) or suggesting who should, if Aldridge shouldn't.

Again, basing it off of the way it's been done as long as I can remember, it should be: Green, Conley (Paul replacement), Gasol, Westbrook, Cousins, Aldridge, Hayward.

Knew one of these comments were coming lmao
It's ridiculous, tbh. The ASG is a glorified layup and three point drill. Kawhi will be fine.

Yea like I said, didn't think he was gonna make it. Lame that we only have one AS but I think they got it right tbh. Dame or Gobert not making it are bigger snubs imho.
Lillard is the worst defender among star players & hasn't even been the best player on his team for the past 6 weeks.

Time to change the source my fellow

LMA didn't deserve to be in the all-star game this season, so it's not like we should be mad or anything. Whatever

Well said. It's a joke that year in and year out Klaynus is all bust assured a spot as a reserve.

Yeah but all star games is a regular season accomplishment. I mean Mo Williams made it one season. I'm not surprised Klay is always a shoe in for the all star team. Like Kawhis has said already, last time LMA got snubbed from the all star team, he went MVP mode after. I'll take it for the Spurs.

Gobert is definitely a bigger snub than LMA imo. Don't think Aldridge deserved it that much, but he could've at least gotten in over Klay.

Golden Fake fan vote light years ahead but that said weak as p#ss that they failed to get ZaZa and Jevalval in. I'm not watching now that those guys did not get in. I bet the bandwagon fans voted for Bogut thinking he was still on the roster.

Uh oh, Murray and Simmons criticized the league on Twitter. That is a no-no for Pop, tbh. Guess we won't be seeing them much tomorrow.

And that's the consistent slap in the face SA always gets. Sure they get love, but it's forced because they success demands.

But the way Pop runs the franchise is partly to blame. The very limited access media gets, the very limited interviews players do all have to do with the amount of love they get.

Pop wants to be a to the media, this is how the spurs will always be treated.

On the plus side, maybe this gets LMA to step up his play and get back to last year's "I'm off Twitter" mode?

Especially when you add in the fact that they defended a teammate. Look what happened to Davis.

The Spurs having a single All-Star can either be viewed as

    A. An organization with only 1 All-Star caliber player OR
    B. A collection of players who sacrifice their stats for the betterment of the team.

Everyone who joins the Spurs knows that winning will be at the expense of their individual stats. The All Star game is atrocious, irrelevant and boring. Winning a ring is glorious and cements one's career.
