Spurs were cruising, up 11, Pelicans rally and cut it to 6. Usually a perfect time in a game to bring in instant offense to cut down the other team's run, but...

Now, I agree with Pop's decision here. This is the kind of situation where you sub in microwave players. They come in, hit a couple of 3s, and spark the team to a run. And Patty did earn back some confidence with his good game against Toronto. But it was obviously a fluke. House hasn't truly gotten over his slump. It's time to see what Murray has as the main backup.

Let's not conveniently exclude why the Pels 'rallied'. A scrub forgot he's a scrub and went into hero mode:

7:13 LaMarcus Aldridge makes layup (Kawhi Leonard assists) 66 - 55
6:50 Solomon Hill makes 27-foot three point jumper (Buddy Hield assists) 66 - 58
6:33 Tony Parker bad pass (Solomon Hill steals) 66 - 58
6:33 David Lee personal foul (Buddy Hield draws the foul) 66 - 58
    6:33 E'Twaun Moore enters the game for Buddy Hield 66 - 58
6:18 Anthony Davis bad pass (David Lee steals) 66 - 58
    6:11 Tony Parker misses layup 66 - 58
    6:09 Anthony Davis defensive rebound 66 - 58
6:05 Jrue Holiday makes dunk (Anthony Davis assists) 66 - 60
    5:52 Tony Parker misses 8-foot jumper 66 - 60
    5:52 Anthony Davis defensive rebound 66 - 60
5:46 David Lee personal foul (Anthony Davis draws the foul) 66 - 60
5:46 Patty Mills enters the game for Tony Parker 66 - 60

Patty committed a TO and missed two consecutive 3s when the Spurs cut it to a one possession game.

And it was still a 6 point lead. House is supposed to be a stopgap for runs. MVPatty and all that horse .

I don't blame Patty for this loss. He could've played better of course. It was just one of those games

Guys were incredibly sloppy with their passing tonight too, and lazy closing out on their shooters

Oh yeah, it's his responsibility to stop the bleeding after Porker s up. After all he's making a whopping $3 million to Porker's measly $15 million.

Team game, right? And yeah, Patty is supposed to stop the bleeding. He's the first man off the bench. Our best 6th man (supposedly) who is good enough to be a starter according to some idiots.

Also, other players were responsible for that "bleeding." Kawhi was inefficient. Green was terrible. And LMA was building brick walls. You can't isolate "bleeding" to just one player.

    They were both ing awful.

Parker misses hero floaters with no space and Patty misses hero 3pt attempts outside of the offense. Same .

I'd take that white American point guard on Philly for him.... Srs

If a deal for Noel can be made with him included. Do it, RC

Overall, sure others could've played better. That disastrous minute and a half stretch prior to Paddy coming in though? That was all Enrique. He needs to retire his hero cape and come to terms with the fact that he has no business trying to be the man even during small stretches.

Spurs still had a 6 point lead.

    Disastrous

Runs happen. Good teams and players stifle runs, and Patty is supposed to be a run killer. Not lately though, unless it's against the Nets.

The Pels aren't even that good of a team. And I'm not about to give them credit because a scrub decided to get his hero on and predictably failed. Runs happen, and Enrique's hero antics fueled a huge one for the Pels. Let's keep starting him though. Why the not.

YEP. This man knows what he's talking about. Parker and Mills fans going at each other, but both were equally bad. lol.

Parker started it, Mills finished it. Great combo to have in the playoffs. Spurs are screwed. If Pop doesn't want to play Murray and get him ready just in case he's needed in the playoffs, I hope a decent PG is bought out and the Spurs sign him.

Agree. This was like the game against T-Pups...Rubio is one of the worst shooters in the league, barely averaged 8 ppg and scored 21 against Parker and Mills.

Neither of them can defend and unless Patty is with the hot hand, I wouldn't play any of them many minutes against good teams in playoffs, they're net negative for the Spurs. BOTH.

Kawhi was rusty, not inefficient. He scored 23 points in 16 shots and had 6 asts. On other hand, LMA scored 14 in 20 shots...

So what? He also was fouled in other plays and didn't get the call.

Kawhi was fouled in the last shot at the end of first half and in the 3rd in his 2nd shot, refs didn't call those...
