FKLA is so stupidly biased, he'll blame Parker for anything

Never mind the fact that Parker was on the floor when the Spurs got it up to 11. And it was STILL a 6 point lead when Pop brought in helmet crew favorite House, who did absolutely nothing but miss shots and play terrible defense. But House escapes criticism because he was good against the Clippers that one time.
He was out there as mainly a spectator when the lead got up to 11. Then he decided to put his hero cape on and went downhill. It's actually a great example of how cancerous he can be. There's nothing worse than a scrub who has no idea he's a scrub, tbh.

Porker isn't an NBA starter anymore. Even worse, he doesn't realize it as he still tries to play hero way too often despite having a Top 3 player right next to him. He also doesn't fit with the second unit. He's the odd man out.
The truth is: Parker is an NBA starter as long as Pop says he is. Murray was riding a 6-game win streak as a starter but Pop glued him to the bench until garbage time - and then yanked him. I honestly thought Dijon could become the starter this season, but I completely forgot about that stubborn SOB, Pop. Smh!

Parker can't bring anything with consistency anymore. Nothing more than an average and even below average player now. Murray should be in the Mix.

The lack of Simmons energy was a bad thing and all of the starters tonight were bad (outside of Lee).

Lousy way to finish off a road trip. Today is one of those days where I wish I could not watch just about every game with the LPass.

Murray and Mills bring a lot more to the table at this moment.

The Spurs are in transition in some ways and Murray will have to be a big part of our team in the next few years. Parker will not stay healthy enough to put any long stretchs of good play together. The guy is 34 going on 35. Point guards are usually done at that age. Not Parkers fault, but all that experience is outweighed by the declining quickness/athletic ability. Father time always wins eventually.

Manu and Tony are really slowing down now. Sad but true.

I confess and repent. I thought Murray might be close to supplanting Tony. Please forgive me, Pop, for losing sight of your awesome power!

Kawhi can cover up some of the stink on this roster, but tonight was a rotten performance from top to bottom.

We have young guys who are ready to be significant parts of the rotation. Bertans and Murray and simmons will not allow the Spurs to play with a lack of energy.

BTW Richard Jefferson should contract the AID for that cheap shot on Kawhi on Saturday. Now he is out of rhythm - he was out of sorts tonight.

Yeah, as much as J Simmons irritates me when he passes up open shots, his energy was missed tonight. He can also get to the rim, which was severely lacking tonight.

Spurs win if Murray starts tonight. Get blown out if Porker starts at Cleveland and Toronto.
I hate to bandwagon on player circles or anti-player circles as I am pretty neutral and root for everyone to play well...
but wow man I wonder about that.

Understaffed they took down two good teams, one bad team. Roleplayers got in a groove too.

This game was a fest. A lot of heroballing all around. Spurs were terrible. I can't even blame the young players, they were actually trying in this.. The vets the bed.

Maybe the vets got jealous and tried to show the young guys they're still better than them, but unfortunately they the bed.

I really do wonder if the Spurs win the games they won on the road if some guys were healthy. I felt like Pop tanked this game.

I didn't think about it for a second with Pop...
I think it will take a real losing skid of big magnitude for Pop to shake things up. Otherwise he's standing pat. Doesn't matter how good the deep bench players are playing, they were only holding down the fort until guys got healthy. Next season is different though.

I thought Manu was poor too. Murray could have played instead of him. Manu has under the radar been bad lately.

No doubt about it. I don't subscribe to that perspective on most losses (if not all) before tonight. But tonight just seemed blatant due to the way he handled Murray when Tony and Patty were both off. SMH!

Not under my radar. Manu is toast. And Pop keeps playing him like it is 2010.

This truly does suck. If he got benched in garbage time, then Pop has no interest in giving him minutes let alone starting him.

I don't normally subscribe to that either... despite his odd coaching lately, the team has had injuries and he has had no choice but to play rooks etc. it's actually the veterans I think who have been poor.... he's just less likely to adjust to a vet playing poorly. I don't know. It didn't give me a good feeling.

He's been wanting a loss like this for a while now. The deeper bench players have just been playing too good for that to happen until tonight.
i just dont understand it... i get that parker is back, but why does that mean dejounte has to be completely out of the rotation ... neither parker nor mills had anything today

if bertans is cooking the way he is, why does kyle anderson get 17 minutes?

why is dedmon only getting 8 minutes?

Dedmon is there for defense and didn't play well... I guess Pop also wanted to see Anthony who is in a 10 day contract to decide whether to sign him for the season or not.

Kyle and Bertans did not play the same spots... Kyle played the Simmons minutes at the wing (and was not as bad as you would think by the +/-... the bench could not defend to save their lives... Patty and Manu had poor games, but Patty specially bc on top of shooting poorly, he TO the ball, had trouble setting the offense, and was a particular sieve on defense.) Davis played strictly big minutes. He made shots and played well offensively which kept the bench in the game but was a very poor rim protector... actually awful... if you only look at box scores you'd miss these things.

Just like Manu. Yet Pop is STILL relying on both of these guys to be major contributors on this team.

Remains to be seen. Manu may be gone. But Tony will undoubtedly still be here. How will Pop use him when he is a year older - though probably not any wiser?

All of this. I'm not saying bench Parker or anyone for that matter. Murray had some very good games, time to build on that and give him some meaningful minutes. Instead, he gets what amounts to a DNP.
