They'd be the fifth or sixth seed. They can clearly beat 3/4 of the league with their hand's behind their backs.
LMA stays in Portland if we don't have Kawhi. Maybe not lottery buy fighting for a playoff spot for sure.

That has little to do with how they are this year, though. If they never drafted Kawhi, well then that's a different and much more horrible scenario to consider.

Lets make this clear, Pacers gave Kawhi away for George Hill and threw in OG Bertans as the cherry on top.

Most triple doubles by any player of your generation.
Doesn't mean if your team is mediocre

Then we just tank for a couple years while Parker shoots to his hearts content.

I'm not saying it's his fault that he isn't the MVP, but...he isn't the MVP.

Look at it this way - if he had a better team and had a lighter load to carry, he wouldn't be averaging a triple double. Either way, Kawhi is more deserving.

With what? LMA as the #1 option? Green, Parker, Pau, Manu?? Pop's masterful coaching?

How does one "loudly" make a case for MVP?

Westbrook with a dominant 38 pts, 13 rbs, & 12 asts tonight in a come from behind win against Memphis.

Still averaging a Triple-Double, would be the first player since The Big O to do so. Unless he falls off the face of he earth, Russ l will be this season's MVP tbh, with Harden a close 2nd.

I think OKC will need a top 4 seed for Russ to win it, it's still Harden's to lose, in my opinion.

Kawhi needs to bring his PPG over 28 PPG, tbh.

Pop hurts Kawhi's chances. That's the whole "system player" bogus debate.

Oscar did not win MVP the year he averaged a 3/2. Neither did Wilt averaging 50ppg the same year.

    It was Bill Russell.

Clippers and Jazz injuries may have won Harden the MVP, tbh..

When healthy, these two teams are better than Houston and would have probably finished as 3rd an 4th seed..Kawhi case then would have been more compelling leading 60 win team to the second best record in the league without another acknowledged All Star in his help..

With Houston slumping, If the Spurs go on a long winning streak (+10) heading into the two marquee matchups vs the Warriors in March, Kawhi could make one last push there, IMO.
