The NBA sent a memo to all 30 franchises this week regarding rules prohibiting the "mocking and/or ridiculing" of opponents or game officials by teams on social media. The memo from NBA deputy commissioner Mark Tatum stated that some recent social media postings on official team accounts had "crossed the line between appropriate and inappropriate" and cited concern that "such conduct can result in ‘Twitter wars' between players that can cause further reputational damage and subject players to discipline by the League."The memo cited three specific examples of material that would be inappropriate for posts on official team accounts:· Disparage, belittle or embarrass an individual opponent or game official;· Mimic or impersonate an opponent or game official in a negative manner; or· Criticize officiating or the NBA officiating program.

Today's NBA is just fine. The best it's ever been.

Yesterday's NBA is in trouble. Their ass has been kicked hard the past 2 weeks. Verbal and physical beatdowns. Tarnishing legacies. (Phil Jackson)

Not mentioned, the unskilled players of yesterday couldn't make an NBA roster today. That's how the real world is working too.

OK that was funny even if he was misinformed...
That doesn't even bother me as much as the ty ass Knicks calling player only meetings because they were "embarrassed by their effort" in a loss to us
    That pisses me off.

The most ironic part is that yesterday's NBA krew probably watches more games than actual fans of the sport, all in an endless search to find things to about. Meanwhile, the owners are laughing their asses off behind closed doors as they count all the money that they're making off these suckers.

Eh, I used to think this, but I think it's clear that they all love today's NBA, tbh..who would watch so much of something that they dislike? It doesn't make any sense, whatsoever..

Technically, I started the "today's NBA" shtick ..lefty began using it as a comeback to my shots at 90s ball..

Kind of like how HarlemHeat37 comes in every once in a while to show video clips of yesterday's NBA and claim they were boring, and s/he was searching it out just the same?

Indeed. The funniest part is watching the people who've been here for 10 years plus who try and catch on with all the "fads" around here because, well, they're "Today's STers".

I preferred the days when I wasn't allowed to post because my screen name was "Tim>God" and there were a few real legit people here who actually provided real insight that wasn't ESPN-fed garbage and there was still fun and hyjynx to be had.

Now all we have are a buncha crumbs who fell in the void lames like Chump opened

Avante-trolls' schticks have gotten old sans the dudes with real beefs.

"Bend over, I'll..." PLAYED THE OUT.

And of course, "DERP! Tuhday's NBA LOLMAOFLOL. CAN'T STAND IT. CAN'T STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. CAN'T STOP POSTING 30 POSTS A DAY ON A "TODAY" NBA BOARD. DERRP."

    ST...easier to analyze than pro-sports.
