that's like saying "what do i gain from learning that 74+74=148? what do i gain from learning that birds lay eggs instead of giving birth? what do i gain from learning that humans have 23 chromosome pairs instead of 24 like other primates?"
whether or not you "gain" anything from it has nothing to do with the truth or falsity of something
atheism is a conclusion you can come to from observation, not a conscious decision you make

I want to see Jesus getting off his s and smashing the stalls up. I want to see Jesus walking on wine or whatever, walking across water going, 'waaahhyy, I'm a geezer.' But there's no pictures to prove it. So right off. There's no pictures to prove that Jesus turned water into wine, I know he did and I know he's a geezer, but a book without pictures is a book.

As a little kid you see all those churchs, ya celebrate Christmas and Easter. You see the movies, you know about....In God We Trust....One Nation Under God....So Help Me God....I Swear To God. You are surrounded buy others who believe in a God. That wasn't an observation of how things are?

You totally missed the point. You were brought up in a world that does believe in a God, you saw the huge impact those beliefs make on this country and the people, you saw all that like we all do. So what was it that made you want to be different? You really think it's better to have nothing, then how come so many disagree with that idea?
