So are you an open borders guy or just pro cheap labor?
they're not criminals. we're talking about administrative violations, not criminal law.
the EO was badly drafted, involved agencies weren't briefed, people who have the right to be here and move about freely were forcibly deported. Random sweeps and checkpoints, non-criminals targeted, families broken apart. it's been a show.
So are you an open borders guy or just pro cheap labor?
OP article was about a criminal, as in committed crimes, being deported what are you referencing?
there's middle ground I end up on.
demographically we need the immigrants, their legit participation in the workforce, their taxes, families and businesses. we need their drive, their entrepreneurial spirit and their cultural influence. there should be a better pathway to legal status and better incentives for the sort of people we want here.
the conversation has movede way beyond the confines of the OP, and it's plain dishonest to pretend that only criminals were detained.
Anybody that breaks & enters this country is a criminal. Get their illegal asses out of here.
fake news
So you are upset people here illegally (non criminal) were detained?
Can you give me some examples of this.
Are you referring to the 100,000 National Guard illegal immigrant round up you posted yesterday?
Except the ones President Trump is targeting have committed a felony or multiple misdemeanors. These are bad people.
good people get caught in the dragnet. probably more good people than bad guys. that's part of the problem.
Any SOB that breaks & enters this country is a criminalPERIOD
, once they've committed that criminal act they figure:::"wtf, I've already ed up and might as well get as much as I can by hook or by crook before I'm thrown out, si?"
The memo existed and was circulated, it wasn't fake.
That's where you're wrong. Unless there is some underlying crime or fact described in criminal law, crossing the border without papers isn't a crime, period.
Common parlance totally notwithstanding. You bought the they were selling.
It's breaking & enteringPERIOD
wrong again. it's not B&E.
it's not hard to understand. undo ented immigration is not a statutory crime but a violation of administrative regulations.
calling it a crime is pure propaganda.
