I don't fear that team this year but Those two make a pretty awesome interior line-up

Okay this makes you wonder. Pelicans traded basically trash for the best center in the league. Why can't our front office negotiate like that?
that would require a sober non-lazy GM

The question is why can no other team in the league negotiate like the Pelicans. It was not just the Spurs.

So SAC is overloaded with guards with no upside now (albeit on short cheap deals) but you have to wonder if this is a clean house move (so Barnes next to be traded because of his issues, Ty Lawson's past, etc..)?

They are about to see what they have in Cauley-Stein too.

We have Parker and Manu. Why upgrade?

Lawson has been done for years now.

I rather roll with Murray instead of trade for Lawson.

Kings are like the person in your fantasy league that ignores all your good trade offers then does an awful trade near the playoffs with their friend that doesn't make sense.

The moment that Boogie found out that he was traded

    https://streamable.com/yfu6y

Wow, if you're a Pels fan you gotta like the reaction. I know everyone says boogie is the problem but Vivek is the worst owner in a league with Dolan. Boogie/AD are gonna murder together. Boogie is gonna go full Zach Randolph. Divac's career is ending before it started.

Cousins and Isaiah Thomas have a bad history, so that probably wasn't ever going to happen..

Good move by Vlade to avoid Brandon Knight, one of the most cancerous players in the league, at the moment..

Hennigan's crazy for not wanting to move Vucevic and Fournier, though

Still, terrible trade and package, but I understand why Sacramento moved him..Hield is a mediocre prospect who has looked horrible in his rookie year, but he's still relatively young, I guess..Vince Carter trade all over again..

No-brainer for New Orleans..they won't be great this season, but it sets them up for next year..they didn't lose anything of value, and it also shows Anthony Davis that they're serious about winning, which is something they needed to do, since they've already wasted some of his great years..

From what I have read, the logic (agree with it or not) is that SAC was hot for Buddy during the draft and nothing they have seen has cooled them.

They view him as a top 10 pick still and if NO misses the playoffs they likely get another top 10 pick. That is why they went with NO deal (because they love Buddy which to me is hilarious).

Wouldn't mind Matt Barnes as the 4th wing, tbh..he's friends with Kawhi, too IIRC..

I'm guessing NO has some sort of protection clause if they miss the playoffs.

I kind of get it..they were in a tough spot, since they could have gotten more value for Cousins earlier in the season, but they tried to make it work..the roster they put around him didn't help matters, though

I don't want college ball, so I don't know much about any of them until they reach the pros..Buddy Hield has been really, really, really bad in the NBA, so far..

With Barnes constant off court issues you would have to imagine he's gone too. They better clean house if they traded Cousins or else it makes no sense.

Plus you know Barnes going to run wild there - he and Boogie were like Freddy and Jason

Ya - I'm not impressed at all with him. He can be ok I think but he doesn't appear to have that high of a ceiling (but it's early).

Their last 5 lottery picks have been Cauley-Stein, Stauskas, McLemore, Jimmer(through trade) and Thomas Robinson horrible..

You wouldn't find many stretches in NBA history that rival that level of inep ude in the draft..
