Is this really true? And the rumor of leaving him in Europe?
This is bad business if true. Use it for a young euro to stash. Losing or second round pick for a33 year old euro who won't come over?
I tend not to read Twitter outside of whatever people post in threads, so I can't say what Smitty has been posting. I definitely think he has a ways to go to fully be on the inside. I don't doubt that some Spurs coaches wanted Dedmon to start. A guy like Borrego probably knew all about how good Dewayne could be.
I dunno. I think he broke something a few days ago, but I don't remember what it was. Do know that even after waiting, he didn't get the Cousins trade right.

They no longer need the Boogie Whisperer.
I love questions that answer themselves.![]()
This isn't just a matter of evaluating the trade in a vacuum, tbh..you have to look at the overall landscape of this deal..
The Kings have had far better offers than this during the past year and half..they opted to keep Cousins and build around him..they made a bunch of win-now moves to make the playoffs, this season(their team is all win-now players like Koufos, Afflalo, Barnes, etc..their only young prospect is WCS, who they weren't even playing until a few weeks ago)..they are currently the 9th seed, yet NOW they decide to trade Cousins for a garbage deal?
Kings are the worst front office since NJ sent a bunch of unprotected first round picks for the corpses of Garnett and Pierce so they could make a splash by grabbing like the 8th seed for one year.
Man, if Houston gets Wilson Chandler that would be nuts.
Spurs need to rob these guys a la Danny Ainge before the front office is fired and the owner removes himself from anymore personnel decisions.
buddy hield got ejected for hitting cousins in the nuts last week![]()
This article sumps it up..Kings are in deep s and their future, like their very recent past, is grim.
The Kings will get New Orleans’ pick this season so long as it does not fall in the top three. (It will not fall in the top three.) Chances are the Pelicans rise up and capture the No. 8 seed in the West. If not, they’ll be close. As such, the pick will be in the Nos. 13-15 range.Assuming the Kings bottom out and the Sixers continue on their current path, the swap will occur and Sacramento will pick around No. 10. Rumors suggest they are trying to part with their veterans, including Arron Afflalo. These veterans aren’t going to bring back high picks or good prospects.
In the post-Boogie landscape, the Kings are looking at a core of Buddy Hield (a 23-year-old who isn’t a serious contender for Rookie of the Year), Willie Cauley-Stein (a 23-year-old who wasn’t productive enough to be named to the Rising Stars Challenge in either of his first two seasons), Georgios Papagiannis (who is only averaging 12-8 in starters’ minutes in the D-League), and something around the Nos. 10 and 15 picks in 2017 and their own likely to be excellent 2018 pick. There are a couple more prospects like Malachi Richardson and Skal Labissiere on the roster, and the Kings have the rights to 24-year-old Serbian wing Bogdan Bogdanovic.
But in all, this is a depressingly deflated roster with exactly one great asset (the 2018 pick) and not a single can’t-miss star.
Ten years of lottery picks and six seasons with one of the most productive big men of his generation, and the Kings ended up with not a single playoff berth and this roster.
What sucks is playoff teams like LAC or OKC have very clear and obvious needs and pretty clear paths to improve those holes.
Spurs are ahead of them but the holes SA has are not easily fixable due to a variety of issues (loyalty, assets, etc..)
Vivek is something else folks![]()
No nepotism going on in SAC at all. The 2 Vs are a nightmare.
I wish the Spurs could pry Bogdan away but I'm sure Vlade loves him above all their other players.
lol I forgot about that.
Coached a girls team..thinks he knows basketball![]()
That's just so sad... Philly's pathetic three seasons in a row of open and purposeful tanking "process" doesn't come close to that. Just Vivek!
Vlade letting people know he had a better deal 2 days ago... Vivek wanted Curry 2.0 tho
The clips have had the same types of holes for years now. With Doc there, even a clear easy path written out for him doesn't mean much lol.
I hear what you're saying tho. But I think PATFO do a pretty solid job of addressing our needs, and did a pretty good job with all the turnover we had after last season.
Sounds like blame the owner.
Yup, exactly
At least Vlade might not be a total idiot, thenclearly not fit for the job, though..
I still can't believe they didn't know about the Stretch Provision..smh..
