People need beverages with their food.
This past January the ATT Arena was #1 in alcohol sales in
Bexar County (San Antonio). Over 1 million dollars in sales. The arena
beat out the W Marriott Hill Country Resort. I don't see many
sloppy drunks at the Spurs games. I did have a guy pass out in the
seats behind me 2 years ago in some scalper seats. They carried him
out. There was another game where some guy passed out in the second
row court side where they stopped the game because it looked like
he had a heart attack. He was just drunk and they had about 3 guys carrying
him out, no stretcher or chair with his arm dragging the floor. It was funny
when we found out he was just drunk.
I know the cost of drinks go up every year and that could be why the $$$ sales
are so high. I would buy a beer at every game but at $7.50 a pop not many
times now. I don't know how much mixed drinks are but they can't be cheap.
FYI Jerry's world in Arlington in January, sold $2.2 million in alcohol.

dumb. Just carry your alcohol into the arena. Store it safely inside your stomach and case solved.
Spurs fans are alcoholics.
Sloppy drunk rodeo clowns and farmers this past month tbh
Store it safely.
Your way, we could still have people falling down drunk. But at least the arena wouldn't look bad because of excessive alcohol sales.
"A man can build a thousand bridges, and suck one , and the world doesn't think of him as a bridge builder."
Nobody thinks of you as a bridge builder.
Is that what they're going for? I haven't been to the AT&T Center in years, what is the markup on the Whataburgers in there? 14 bucks?
Wow didn't realize that.
So the biggest venue in SA sales the most alcohol. This would mean something if it was compared to other stadiums... and only if it did sales per person.![]()
Also bc there's not a gad damn decent place to predrink nearby.. have to bring bottles and drink em in my car
People always cite the pice of the beer like it matters. You aren't buying a 120z beer for $9. You are getting 24oz I believe for that so it's basically 4.50 a beer which is what every bar in the world charges.
I thought it was 16oz?
Not sure - it's a pretty large cup. Even if it's 16, it's not that egregious at all.
Oh the cup......I'm thinking of the bottle that the walking beer guy sells
Yeah the draft beer might be 24oz
Yeah, this.
RC Buford really making a difference with the organization...
Anyone know why Gervin's dig across the street at the golf course closed? It was never rocking pre-game, but at least you could start getting your buzz on before the game.
Alcoholic insecure fat s
Good thing I don't think of myself as a bridge builder, either.![]()
