And they might get worn out by the time the playoffs come around if they are going to try the same pace as last year to keep the seed. I honestly thought even before the Durrant injury the Rockets could have a shot against them.

Hope that Jones fracture comes back while we're at it

I hope all that kind of happens to him in the offseason. This year, I want his gangly ass on the floor so we can mop it up with him. The fear of that jack- team is ridiculous. They have 3 terrific players but what they gave up to get Durant was enough to keep them from winning a ring. They can beat just about anyone in this sorry, watered-down league on any given night but the playoffs were always going to be their demise.
I think we're good either way. Ofcourse they've improved since the opener but our rebounding advantage should be massive not to mention the bench. And their love of the jumpshot which usually doesn't get it done come playoff time.
GS still has a big 3 that took them to back-to-back finals in Curry/Klay/Draymond. Yes, the lost Bogut & Barnes, but they still have Iggy/Livingston who played huge roles and replaced Barnes with Matt Barnes basically which helps offset losing KD some (lowers their ceiling obviously but if last year and the year before they swap out Harrison Barnes for Matt Barnes it would not have made the difference in them making the finals).
Then they have Zaza/West/McGee to replace Bogut (which is a big downgrade for sure) but they are still a sick team.
The Spurs need to go all out in the two games against GS, close that gap and lock up the tiebreaker. The 1 seed and de facto first round bye is a prize worth going after. That and avoiding Memphis or the Clippers in case one of those teams falters or the Thunder get hot.
I'll be the judge of that.
He'll be back for the playoffs so this injury is meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
Cam Newton of the NBA gets hurt and you're celebrating![]()
One ramification is that Pop may no longer be interested in picking up a player on waivers.
uhh, can we even get past rockets and clippers? Let's not get ahead of ourselves...
Not past the Clippers, but that's already established.
Yeah the clippers concern me.
Feeling sorry for those pricks..KD bolted to his GSW for this very reason: he knows fully well that they stacked enough to bail out his choking, disappearing ass in the playoffs..
