Yup, another 2nd round exit
Our guard play is one of the worst in the entire NBA. I would have gladly taken Lou Williams, who yes, isn't a great defender and has had some bad playoff performances, but would easily spark this team's dead in the water offense.
This team is in for a very rude awakening come playoff time, and people acting like they'll comfortably beat the Rockets are in for a surprise.
This team is scraping by and relying on Kawhi to do everything who will have dead legs come playoff time at this rate.
OP is the biggest emo got on the entire site. And that's saying a lot.
OP with the usual over emotional posts but "I'm just anti jinxing guise"
Spurs won, so these casuals will forget how the team keeps scraping wins against bottom of the barrel teams. Kawhi will gas out by April at this pace...
They weren't regardless, but Lou Williams was definitely there for the taking. Prolly didn't feel comfortable moving Mills/Fathead for him.
Spurs aren't going anywhere with Softridge and Parker eating up cap space. I don't blame the FO though. I doubt any team out there would trade for either. Just got to wait out their contracts in 2018.
There was no trade that likely made sense, plus they have chemistry to consider.
We've scraped through a lot of wins in basically every year except 14.
Parker wants to play for another 4 years. Spurs backcourt is really underwhelming.
Spurstalk gets stupid with each passing day
spurs did do something at the trade deadline. They moved Pau to the bench and began using Dedmon as a starter.
This move will pay off for sure.
Some people are not happy unless they are ing about something.
Trap Harden high on pick n rolls and make someone else make plays on their team and see how they go. It's easy to run everyone off the floor during the regular season when no one's playing D, playoffs are different
Spurs still too over-reliant on Kawhi
Every year he plays a little piece of me dies.
This team needs Belly back tbh.
Actually, I was impressed with how hard he tried during that Clippers series and in games during the 2015 season le defense. I hated his defense and wanted him gone because of it, but he showed no fear and tried hard to get it past the Clippers. One of the only players apart from TD that shot with confidence during that series. Patty Mills also shot the ball with confidence in the limited court time he got (no idea why Parker got as many minutes as he did during that series).
He won me over and I would have taken him back (for the right price) if he didn't get that big contract from the Kings. He really was very good on offense. Could shoot the ball, move without the ball and pass too.
