The White House on Sunday called for congressional investigations into its claims the Obama administration meddled in the 2016 election cycle in an attempt to gather information on then-Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Trump said Obama did tap him. That's a conclusion. So now he's going to work backwards from the investigation to get to his conclusion? Just proves it was bull all along.
There are reports that when he cursed out his staff that he mentioned the investigation is going to prove him wrong and make him look even worse. This is all getting very dangerous now. He may feel soon like he is a man with nothing to lose once it all comes out.

I believe both.
It makes no sense for the Trump election team to talk to the Russians about the fiddling with elections. Trump was getting killed in polls. What are they going to talk about, the chances of Trump winning at the time were miniscule. You will not convince Boots of this however. If it was going to be close, I can see people being more nervy. Some people on this board are unable to go back to the conditions at the time and reason it out. They used today's results to analyze old intentions.
Even with a as big a liar as Trump is, I don't see how someone so lacking in composure and forethought could actually plan and carry out a set of actions to solve any but the simplest perceived problems. He has no time to see possible consequences of actions. Like a child with a chemistry set we can only hope he learns or just goes golfing and let others he has hired learn.

Because People in his cabinet lied about having meetings with the Russians for some unknown reason. He fired one. Why did he fire him?

No, that's incorrect again. They haven't concluded that. They are investigating whether there could be collusion. However, it has been concluded that Russia was hacking DNC and trying to help Trump (but we don't know if Trump was working with them in anyway). Nope. Media , demo s and other re s concluded Trump is in with Putin long ago. Now they are "investigating" to reach that conclusion.
Btw it has been concluded there is no evidence of Russia hacking DNC. So even that is being "investigated" to rach the fantasy conclusion

LMAO, no evidence supporting the connection. We haven't seen all the evidence. We don't even have Trump's tax returns because they're all still under "audit" and probably will be for the rest of time
