What label did he first record for once he arrived in Chicago? Who were his big influenses? What was the name of that plantation he first recorded for Alan Lomax? Who was Lomax actually looking for when he found Morganfield? What other famous blues cat was on those Plantation recordings? I need to be in Mississippi and Chicago...why?

You missed the point, having experience doesn't mean ya have the interest. You could play the clarinet in a jazz band and not know anything about the history of the music. Or ya could be a fan of jazz and know all the greats, but not be able to play anything, who would ya rather talk to about the music?

Freddie Spruell gets the nod as the first Delta cat to record, this was in 1926. There is some debate if he was actually from Mississippi, so....hmmm?

Rube Lacy only recorded one record and his "Mississippi Jailhouse Groan" the best example of Delta blues on record. He died in Bakersfield.

Tommy Johnson....the originator of that "sold my soul to the Devil" story. The rock band Canned Heat got that name from his "Canned Heat Blues".
