Actually a lot of people were picking the tlongs to upset them in round 1. Nobody gave the Mavs a chance when the playoffs started tbh, it was just after they swept the lakers that people started to take them seriously

Honestly, at this point, I am not so sure Lebron deserves 1st team all NBA. Durant, without the injury, was more deserving of it. Not saying Durant is the better player, because I still think Lebron is, but based on what has been accomplished this season pre-injury, Durant and Kawhi were both better 1st team choices than Lebron.
If I have to choose today, it would be:
Kawhi
Durant
Harden
Westbrook
Lebron if I can move Durant to center, otherwise it would be either Giannis or Cousins at centre, which tells you how crap centre is this season.
Lebron's practically the difference between the Cavs missing the playoffs and repeating as champions and people aren't sure he deserves a spot over Durant?

Kawhi Leonard is the most infuriating of all the MVP candidates because he has no case.
Don't get me wrong, Leonard is a tremendous basketball player, but he's simply not better than LeBron at anything on the offensive end of the floor. LeBron averages 2.2 more rebounds per game and an enormous 5.4 more assists per game than Leonard. LeBron is fourth in the league in assists per game, while Leonard tied for 54th.
Leonard is also a far less efficient scorer. Despite averaging 0.4 points more per game than LeBron, Leonard shoots 5.1 pecent worse from the field and 1.3 percent worse from 3.but but but his defense

That 's re ed. He talks about efficiency but names raw FG% instead of true shooting %, which is the stat to trully show the efficiency of a player. In that stat Kawhi > Lebron.
He also fails to say that Kawhi has a better Player EFFICIENCY Rating.
Not to mention that Lebron, with 2 other all-stars on his team and playing on the weaker conference, has a worse record than Kawhi's team, in which Leonard is the only all-star.

Just to recap, two seasons removed from a le the guy sitting at SF for us would already be, at 25, peaking higher than any player in Mavs history not named Dirk.
