Pissing away your franchise GOAT's waning years as one of the worst teams in the league while Duncan got a le on his way out.

We aren't celebrating regular season victories, numbnuts. We're celebrating the fact that a player we traded our backup PG for is a top 3 player in the game and the best two way player not named LeBron since Michael ing Jordan.

Just to recap, two seasons removed from a le the guy sitting at SF for us would already be, at 25, peaking higher than any player in Mavs history not named Dirk.

And you laugh at us? For having maybe the best defender in history at 25 and a guy we're going to build a team around for another generation?

Ok. Laugh all you want. We'll just be over here, MAKING MORE ING LE RUNS. Duncan retired and we're still ting all over your franchise.
that was a pretty cringeworthy post IMO

but I will say that it's pretty remarkable (and unprecedented) what the Spurs have done in the last 25 years though. It's getting to the point where Poppovic could just take a , put a Spurs jersey over the fecal matter, and it would turn into a 20+ ppg scorer overnight.

doesn't kawhi have a better 3pt% then Jordan?

I'm not concern with apg, that's not kawhis job to be point forward...when u have a guy who is the jack of all trades and master of none, then ur basically nothing more then a stat padder...

The more I think about it, the more I think Kawhi would be like a David Robinson for wings. Great career, one of the best defenders in NBA history, carry his team on his back for the regular season, can score in bunches, but I am not sure if Kawhi has the ability carry an offense to a championship in the playoffs. We will wait and see.

Kawhi needs another scorer and a rough inside presence to make the Spurs a championship team. Aldridge should have been at least one of the two, but I don't think he's panning out.

Hope he proves me wrong this year.

On-Off numbers is such a misleading stat. If the team has a bench (like the Cavs and Thunder do) or an awful backup their on-off numbers will get inflated. Look at Kevin Love with a +12.1 On-Off. Anyone want to argue he has anywhere near Lebron (or any other MVP candidate) level impact?

Normally I'd agree with you, but with KD hurt and no one sure he'll be 100%, this season is wide open for just about anyone to make the Finals.

I believe you are right, I do not see any clear cut favourites so far this year, and this year's winners may well come from who got the most favourable matchups in the playoffs. In other words, seeding is key, and on paper, the Cavs have the least to go through. I think the Spurs have a good chance, but Aldridge must start focusing more on the dirty work side (setting screens, getting rebounds), and be a scoring threat in the post, like a traditional big. I am just not sure if he is built that way, and it's really forcing a round peg in a square hole. Perhaps Dedmon can be that guy, but he is just way too limited offensively.

Gasol and Ginobili can be a huge offensive boost for the 2nd unit.

GSW has looked average without Durant, but I still think they are the favourites even now.
Cleveland could be sleepwalking through the regular season, but I honestly think they are just done. That said, they only really have to play 4 great games the entire playoffs and the championship is theirs.
Spurs are the dark horse, if Green wakes up from long range, and if Parker and Mills can at least play like rotational NBA guards, the Spurs would be dangerous.
Clippers seems to be all but done.
Jazz are too raw, and is looking like a 2012 Pacers team.
OKC is a one man show that could be easily shut down in the playoffs.

Clippers are bizarre. This should be their year. But they just look like they have no interest in being a great team.

The problem is that Cry Havoc posted his picture here before so it's hard to take a post like that seriously when you know there's a nu-male in cargo shorts behind it.

That 's re ed. He talks about efficiency but names raw FG% instead of true shooting %, which is the stat to trully show the efficiency of a player. In that stat Kawhi > Lebron.

He also fails to say that Kawhi has a better Player EFFICIENCY Rating.

Not to mention that Lebron, with 2 other all-stars on his team and playing on the weaker conference, has a worse record than Kawhi's team, in which Leonard is the only all-star.

And finally, but no least, Kawhi went to Cleveland and made Lebron his .

Nothing to see here, just a Lebron stan, cherry picking the stats he wants to fit his agenda, tbh.

So you think it's "homeristic" to say Kawhi has a case for MVP? Mmh, ok.

Of course he has a case and it grows stronger week by week ....
But your a homer because you are dismissing stats and well thought arguments that differs from yours.

You are becoming the Spurs version of the Old Kobe stans. You don't give a about the numbers ... just watch the games!!!

Good for him. Cry is good peoples he just gets overly emotional about his squad sometimes but i respect it. You cool too, kingslay. This here is just to talk a little hoops and some
niccas here take to far or to seriously. Wgaf about mvp or Jordan comparisons? KL is easily the youngest and ascending player of the mvp candidates. And Laker, Rox and Mavs fans would trade their two best players for him easily.
