I missed the game. Were we compe ive? When did Kawhi get injured? And do have a guard on our roster that can play NBA level basketball?
Lma continues to disappoint ..smh at our second option..
I hope kawhi ain't really hurt..zero chance we catch gs with Aldridge as the offensive focal point .

Did it look like Donavan knew all the Spur plays again? Seems like he's watched an inordinate amount of Spurs games and knows their playbook.
The offense isn't exactly Picasso at work (especially with that Dewayne guy starting)it's a predictable set
We were due for a loss after 9 straight wins tbh. OKC played really tonight. Their role players came up big at home. We played pretty poorly in a lot of respects, and still only lost by 10 on the road. Hopefully Kawhi's alright and we come out ready for a tougher one on Saturday.
Frankly too much to overcome to not have either of Manu or Kyle. If you must rest Manu ... you wouldn't want to play Forbes for either guy. Maybe that was game right there ... unfortunately.
Tony continues to worry with his nags and mileage sadly.
Then to top it off, Kawhi can't pull a clutch come back bc he gets injured.
Stay healthy Spurs.![]()

And yet Kawh's nose may now be on the side of his face.![]()
that was digusting ... how can Portland score 126 against OKC and the Spurs stumble around missing every rebound, loose ball ... playing Forbes was the icing on the cake
You cliffjumpers underestimate how important Parker and Manu are to having a competent offense (or even Kyle who's more effective than other wings). The only other guys who can create are Kawhi and Aldridge albeit not in penetration creating for others. Kawhi's is getting better but Aldridge is pick and pop or post ups. Doesn't get their defense scrambling.
I take nothing from this loss other than Thunder play big and physical and will be an annoying opponent for whichever team draws them. Oh, and Forbes doesn't belong in the NBA and Simmons likely won't draw much off-season interest.
Spurs were due for a loss after all those close wins.
This is what happens when you randomly give rotation minutes to a D-league player like Forbes.Pop tossing him into the fire against a highly motivated Thunder team...I understand resting Parker and Ginobili, but that doesn't mean you just plug in Forbes. You distribute those minutes among the veteran guys and give Forbes a few minutes here and there.
Memphis in full tank mode, to get us, TBH.

The Spurs have 2 PG's on the roster. Neither of them played last night.
I really, really wanted to win this game to setup a showdown with the Warriors for the number 1 seed on Saturday. I thought it would have been in the NBA's interest to do that to boost the ratings and hype for that game. I guess they don't give a .
