Man... I was hoping he got trade at the deadline (would have liked Ibaka), now Spurs have an asset that not only takes up cap space but is untradeable!

We might have to draft a PF in June.

1-The most important thing...Get well soon, LMA

He's a family guy, a father, a good son, his family needs him. Hopefully he'll be fine for them.

2-Arrhythmia is a whole different issue than Bosh's and others. Remember Oberto? This last LMA's heart condition sounds more like that Fab's issue. Sadly, Oberto last heart-episode was in Portland and couldnt play anymore.

3-It's sad but LMA's sign is finally exploding in Pop/RC/our faces this season with his poor performances and this heart problem.

Two years ago it seemed the perfect scenario, the Spurs got the best free agent in the market, a big who can fill Tim's shoes after his retirement...Again, it's sad, things didn't go the way the Spurs planned.

    And we're ed now.

Get better LaSharkus - people here more worried about a game than his life, smh.
    Obviously no.
    GWS for him.
I look forward to Spurs other veteran bigs as well as Spurs young prospects to step up for this.

Re Spurs fans: Keep the faith! With a healthy Kawhi and other guys playing up to form, Spurs are still contenders. We will mostly miss LMA's D and rim protection. Perhaps Deadman...? We will likely learn a lot about Kyle and Bertans.
I love optimistic people but this is not realistic.

LMA wasn't having a good, great season but he was the 2nd Spurs scorer, plus he's a guy who can score easily 18-20 ppg in a playoffs series. The Spurs don't have other player who can replace him.

    The Spurs aren't contenders anymore.

Srsly, people need to GTFOhere with this get well soon your health is more important than some game bull . This isn't a ing reality show or soap opera. You're not related to him. Dude ain't attending your wedding or your funeral and couldn't give 2 s about how you feel about him.

If he dies, he dies. And we have an open roster spot. And cap room.

I read about he looked after his mom when she had cancer and he doesn't sound like an absent father when talks about his sons.

"Out of wedlock" means nothing. But if he doesn't care about the kid, if that's true...Well, that's not fine.

Hope he gets better soon. As stated he had the same issue twice before with the Blazers. It's concerning to me that it has cropped up again. That said it makes the playoffs wide open this year with all of the injuries on elite teams.

That was a post that was uncharacteristically optimistic, tbh. I did not say the Spurs would win the LOB. What I did say, but didn't flesh out was that the Spurs would be contenders with a healthy Kawhi and the rest of the roster playing up to their potential. Patty and Danny have to regain their shooting touch, Simmons must play closer to his season-opening performance against the Dubs, and the role players have to step up - especially Kyle and Bertans. If all of those things happen, the Spurs are compe ive - even contenders.

If the injury exclusion is granted, the player's salary is removed from the team salary immediately.
Pretty sure that a dead guy would be granted the injury exclusion
