Obviously hope you're right but the Dubs are highly dependent on emotions and they're coming off an emotionally charged win last night that tends to fire up teams like that the rest of the way.
Manu was fine, tbh... not the greatest of games from him, not the reason we lost either...
Fake news.
Missing the FT he was supposed to make and making the FT he was supposed to miss absolutely cost us this game.
He (and you) needs to retire.
Preferably before the end of the season.
No it didn't. Down 3 with 2 freebies is simply a long shot. We lost this game way earlier by not taking care of business.
But you go ahead with your played out schtick, tbh...![]()
I wish the Warriors remaining schedule wasn't so easy tbh. The one-seed is right ther, but we definitely still have a few losses left on our tough remaining schedule. Need some of these ty teams to really help us out and steal some games against Golden State at their place.
lol the only "played out schtick" is your Manu -love
He missed the freebie he was trying to make.
He made the freebie he was trying to miss.
It is the ultimate fail.
Deal with it.
If you're going to run that schtick to the ground, at least show up and own it at the end of the games...
That verbal diarrhea on the 1st quarter against the Kings then disappearing post-game is really chicken , IMO... at least TGY shows his face, tbh![]()
They've looked so bad without KD, and have a tough stretch coming up. We just can't have anymore nights like tonight, but it's still up for grabs
Shot waaay to many jumpers without attackin the rim, plus D was non existent!!
Spurs suck without Parker, always have, always will.
Spurs had some good moments in this game -- Portland just a little hungrier. The play of the Euro center made the difference, tbh.
Only reason we won 2014 cause the fat was on the bench.![]()
Meh. One thing worth mentioning: the Blazers are one of the most foul-prone teams in the league. Their opponents average 27.4 FTA/game, which is 28th (worst) in the league. Last night, the Spurs only shot 15 FT's vs. Portland's 28. I'm not going to take the time to search the numbers, but giving up only 15 FT's has got to be one of Portland's best games of the season.
With the exception of Green, the Spurs actually shot pretty well last night. And they had 8 more FGA's than Portland. (88 vs 80) Some of that is on the zebras. Some of it is that the Spurs just don't have anyone other than Kawhi who is challenging the paint, and forcing defenders to foul them. Patty got zero FTA's in that game. Simmons used to be pretty good at getting a few trips each game - but he played so piss-poor that he only got 5 minutes, and he didn't draw any whistles in that time.
Pau shot really well, but most of his scoring was away from the basket, while he was standing still. Foul Danny Green, while he's moving with the ball? Please. Dedmon? What that leaves is Aldridge. Even though he scored 19 points, he's not challenging the defense worth a damn. He got a single FT last night for an and-1. But a star-caliber PF really should be playing enough of a power game to get to the line more than once in 32 minutes.
Watching the game live last night I thought the crowd was going to or should have rushed the court and attacked the zebras. They were hacking the crap out of us and we never got a call. A horribly officiated game by any standard. The charge on Manu was basically the game. Manu was clearly set outside the lane. Earlier in the game Manu got pissed about a call and let them know it. They decided they didn't like his at ude apparently. Usually it balances out, but last night was not one of those nights.
The refs blew some calls. But you have to look at the fact that nobody but Kawhi is challenging the paint worth a , too. NBA defenders just aren't going to foul jump shooters that often. That's not on the refs.
You really hate manu. How long have you held this hate for my favorite spur of all time?
Did it go all the way back to high school? Was your high school yearbook quote "manu is a piece of " or something similar?
Its not outside the realm of possibility. You hate him like fat girls hate diets.
I was talking more about under the basket and our bigs. You are right, with the exception on Manu on a couple of drives, that Kawhi was the most aggressive going to the basket. However Lee, Dedmon, and Pau were mixing it up pretty well under the basket and getting hit and hacked hard. That being said we needed to be a lot more aggressive. Pop was right about waiting for the last 4 minutes wasn't going to work.
