I was thrilled when we got him but yeah. He sucks.
No brainer signing and not their fault if he's fallen off a cliff at 31, despite no career altering injury and a game that should age gracefully.
His and Gasol's inability to bully undersized bigs and small/combo forwards masquerading as such, is embarrassing. I don't know why anyone thinks they'd be able to do this against the Warriors over the course of a series.

If he's not playing well team will underachieve as much as it pains me to admit. They are just built to rely on their bigs a lot and paid a lot for their bigs in FA, while standing pat in the backcourt. It's a shame he's looking like he has fallen off a cliff (tonight not the only game, not a chicken little statement)...
maybe he needs prayers to find his game![]()
Great, now send him to whataburger.
To be fair, he was still pretty good when we signed him. His game has just sort of nosedived in our system for some reason. But can't blame the system, it's just him. He still gets tons of good looks. He just misses a lot of them, and for some reason does not understand the concept of taking advantage of his size against smaller defenders. Goes up soft far too often, which results in a lot of missed shots within 5 feet of the baskets. Just not a physical player.
Still showing no heart. What tests did they run exactly?
Warriors vulnerability is their bigs, and the Spurs cannot challenge them at their weakest point. What a pity.
Turd towers all over again.
TD 21 with the goods once again. I don't fault the Spurs for signing him when they did, but he's been very very disappointing. While Gasol is playing some of his best ball of the season lately, we have two bigs who prefer to square up 15 feet from the basket as oppose to punishing teams inside.
Jesus Christ (because of the religion talks :P), we are 1 GB from GSW and still play them AT HOME. Can we stop with all the depressing crap about how we are "underachieving" and are a "second-round exit". We have bad games, no doubt, but we're a damn good team and we have a shot to win it all. Either be a fan of the team and cheer them on, or go follow another team and take your depression with you.
LMA has been playing well defensively and I still think that's what Pop wants him focusing on. When TP gets back our offense will be smoother and all our guys will be performing better. Just chill. R-E-L-A-X
Are there 3 big men better than LMA that are payed less (not on rookie contract)?
Draymond is the only one I can think of.
Lol you think TP is going to fix this team? just like he did the last couple of years in the playoffs?
First off, I don't think a 52-15 team needs to be "fixed".
I think Parker can run our offense better than Mills, and Mills being able to play with the second unit, instead of Brick Forbes, is going to help. Parker, as limited as he is, can still drive to the basket and collapse a defense, much complimented by 4 shooters in LMA, Gasol, Leonard, and Green.
A lot of us were RELAXED the last two playoff years.
The good did it do?
glad to have him back but our offense suffers with him out there..
It sure needs to be fixed, because it is a fake 52-15 record, Spurs and GSW have inflated records because the league is watered down, this is not 2008 or something like that where you had Rockets, Dallas, Lakers, Phoenix, OKC was getting serious, Boston, D Rose Chicago.
Parker is done, outside shooting and speed he never had game, now he is slow and has a decent 3 pointer because there is no more floaters or long 2´s, Forbes sucks, the answer is Murray who deserved more minutes this season but this stubborn old fart chose the freezer for him and now he is injured.
To be fair, LMA played his soft game of fadeaways in Portland. He could never really move without the ball, and he could never pass. And to be fair, the Spurs expected to sign a player to be their highest paid player who was waaaay more than "still pretty good." He was a somewhat overrated player when the Spurs signed him, and he has become inconsistent on offense, leaving the team with a huge hole where a second option should be. To make matters worse, the third and fourth options now play with the second unit.
Pop shoulda tough-loved Murray as a starter same as he did Parker his rookie year. And now he should send LMA to the bench and start Pau and Deadman. That's an experiment I'd like to see.
To be honest, probably increased your quality of life. The way you act has no affect on how well or bad the Spurs do but it seems odd that people are just about throwing in the towel because we aren't 82-0 and still lose games. I think they can relax and cheer on a very good Spurs team that has a very good chance to win a LOB this year.
Yes but at this point I think Pop only wants to win by making things harder for the team.
What happened to this guy who said Relax, everything is fine?
If that's the case, it's not only going to apply to the Spurs and Warriors because all teams play each other. If you're saying that the Spurs and Warriors are the only good teams, well... then I'd say we have a better chance at a LOB than I previously thought.
Parker is done in the sense he isn't in his prime anymore and can't take over a game, his brain didn't shut down and forget how to play basketball. He does what we need him to do, sometimes trying too hard to do too much, and him being in the lineup helps to smooth out our offense not because he will fill up the stat sheet, but because he fits better than Patty and it allows Patty to move back to the second unit.
I wish Pop would have tough-loved Murray, too. It would have been awesome to see.
Sure Spurs have more chances, but they need to fix the PG issue, you cant win CLE in a 7 game series with Parker playing 30 minutes a game.
GSW without Durant or with an 60% Durant is not a menace, plus they are burned.
Of course not everything is Parker, LMA has been awful too.
