* Pop pulls the plug on 1st seed chase*
Mar 31 @ Oklahoma City L
Apr 2 vs Utah W
Apr 4 vs Memphis L
W- L: 1-4
They lose the next three then beat Utah and Memphis imo, with Pop resting key personnel against GS and OKC. Need to hope Houston drops a couple games soon or the Spurs may feel pressure for the second seed.
Cleveland is playing mediocre at best and warriors will be on a b2b.
We got a good shot at winning both.
Pointing out Cavs recent mediocre play and forgetting that the Spurs are master experts at letting teams bust out of slump/losing streaks against them..
CLE, W
GSW, W
@ OKC, L
UTA, W
MEM, W
I know, Pop doesn't give a about choosing playoffs rivals...But a win or a loss against OKC/MEM will help clarify Spurs' 1st round rival.
Pop pulled the plug on that a long time ago (if said plug was ever in there to be pulled out to begin with, tbh)
That said, we go 4-1 and somehow look unimpressive doing it.
Who cares? This team is second round fodder either way with Porker's cancer infecting the team tbh.
Why follow them then if they suck so bad?
With 10 games left, the Spurs can go 5-5 and guarantee home court against everyone except GSW, even in the Finals if they get there. They still have a shot at catching the Dubs for the best record, but I wouldn't count on Pop pushing for that (or for GWS dumping several games). So I honestly don't think Pop's top priority is going to be the W/L record in these last few games.
CLE is very beatable. So is UTA. And I don't think Pop will piss off another game against their likely first round opponent, and give them confidence. I wouldn't be disappointed with 3-2, even though I think they could beat any of them, on any given night.
It's been a while since we've seen the Spurs hit their ceiling so I hope it's at least 3-2 in this stretch. With the Warriors on another b2b Kerr might even rest his guys again on Wednesday.
If Kerr rests his guys again, Silver is going to have a hemorrhage. I almost wish Kerr would do it, just to watch that happen.
He's already said he wouldn't

I just let Parker tell me what Spurstalk thinks. And then I'll start whatever lineup causes maximum butthurt. You should have left Bonner alone.
4 of those games are at home...@ "week from "
4-1 btw.
