This caught my eye well before anyone else even mentioned it. I was looking at his stats around the All-star break, or just before it and noticed his road 3 point percentage was a dismal 32%. Ever since then, his percentage has been going down and down. Both at home or on the road, it doesn't matter, it's gone down the ter anywhere he's playing.

I posted this below in the game thread, but I think he needs at least some sort of respectable 3 ball to loosen up defenses on him. If not, teams can double team him inside. This is big trouble for Kawhi and the Spurs if he can't hit 3s.

it. I said it before anyone else here over a month ago, but Kawhi's 3 ball is killing him. I was a little worried about it when I bought it up, but now I'm really worried about it. It's limited his game tonight by not even being able to hit the broad side of a barn. The defense is tight on him and he can't hit a 3 ball to loosen it up. Bad news for Kawhi and the Spurs.
No-one seems to acknowledge this. STAMP this on your foreheads. This could cost us the season if Kawhi's 3 ball is gone. Forget about the WCF, Spurs could be done well before then if Kawhi can't hit a 3 the rest of the season to save his life. Already missed another on a good look. I won't count that last one.

Worry confirmed. He's like 5 for his last 30 from downtown, including a 0-12 over the last two games. Not sure what's going on. Awful tonight.

What eye socket hit? The concussion?

Man, if that is what you're saying, you guys haven't been paying attention at all. It started well before then, weeks before then, maybe a month before then.

This is now officially a thing..And it is not the abysmal 3PT shooting alone, you could almost count him for FTs split or two each game..Just something awry with the mechanics of his shot especially from behind the arc....

Kawhi seems to be a mechanics shooter. I am not. I liken myself to someone like Reggie Miller, someone that doesn't have a picture perfect shot, but has a good feel for shooting the ball. A pure shooter, so even if my mechanics are a little off on my shot, I can still make it. Kawhi seems like he is all mechanics, where if his mechanics are off a little bit, he's not likely to make the shot. Looking at all those 3 point bricks he's thrown up lately, it just looks like he doesn't have a feel for shooting the 3 point shot at all. Maybe he's fatigued, and that is really throwing his shooting mechanics off just enough for him to miss the shot, sometimes, even miss it badly.

I'm not really a shooter than relies on picture perfect mechanics, so I don't really know for sure if that is the case/problem with Kawhi's 3 point shooting.

After an 0/7 from three game, he follows it up with 0/5.

    Average FT shooter now too
