No sweat. We saw exactly how to beat GSW in the first quarter last night. All we need is for Green to shoot 65% from three and LMA score in the post for 4 games while GSW miss all their shots. Piece of cake. It was brilliant of Pop to pull that strategy after the first quarter so Kerr couldn't figure it out.
That's stupid and you know it. If you are going to jump ship then just go buy your Curry jersey and be done with it. We know they aren't going to miss like they were and Danny isn't going to hit at that rate. I think most people were upset that Pop didn't keep that squad in and run up the score even more. Most fans knew that the Dubs were going to make a run.

    Oh and you're a .

It's the careless body language they displayed starting the 2nd quarter that concerns me...

There you go. I agree with that too. They came out like they already had the game won. You just know they were getting lit up in film session.

No . You would think the sky is falling with all the posts after last night lol. Pop did his bull again. I'm kind of getting tired of it. I mean by now I would think these teams know each other pretty well by now. Why keep trying to hide . Parker was guarding Curry all night not Kawhi, Klay Thompson going off while Danny Green is wasting away on the bench, Fat head playing more then usual minutes, ect. It's typical Pop bull i'm telling you.

I'm thinking Pop figured we weren't going to get that first seed anyways. Say we win that game. If GS wins out we still fall short. And you know the Spurs probably lose another game somewhere at the end of the schedule because they always have some type of let down.
I'm gonna say it's more on the players than Pop. When you build a 22 point lead and blow it...that's on the players. No amount of abysmal coaching should be enough to blow a 22 point lead if the players are doing their jobs. Of course, any coach will tell you they hate having a 20+ point lead in the 1st quarter (against a good team), because that leads to complacency, and it's almost guaranteed that the other team is going to make a run. Why? Regression to the mean. When one team starts out shooting on fire and the other team can't make a shot, both of those percentages are going to drift back toward the average across a larger number of shots taken.

LOL the Spurs didnt build a 22 point lead

The Worriers built it brick by brick and TO by TO. It was all worriers. Spurs didnt do anything special the first few minutea

Spurs were actually missing lots of shots and playing badly the lead ahould have been about 30+ points insyeas of 22

There is really nothing to take away from this game wxcept Manu has absolutely no business guarding Klay and Lee should not go 1-1 va West. West will kill him everytime

Oh and we better hope Ethiopantula doesnt fully recover cause ptherwise we will have zero shot in . It will be a worriers sweep if somehow we make it to the WCFs

i agree. other than green and LA (initially), the spurs didn't look all that good. as you mentioned, they should have built the lead to close to 30. i kept thinking that once GS started taking care of the ball and hitting some shots they would close the gap. then, when our bench came in it all fell apart very quickly. from that point on, it was all warriors.

I think anybody who has watched the NBA for any time at all is somewhat apprehensive when his team races out to a big lead. In this instance that lead was an even greater mirage than usual. I haven't checked the first quarter stats, but I don't think the Spurs' big lead was due to the team's shooting. As I watched, it seemed to me that the team actually shot a pedestrian percentage - aside from Danny. The Spurs got numerous second chance points, had uncharacteristicly quick hands on D, were excellent at protecting the rim, and generally played at an intensity level that was also uncharacteristic and unsustainable. After the first quarter the Spurs didn't so much regress to the mean as crash into the abyss.

Well I would give some credit to the defense and yes they shot poorly which means they can play better a lot better.

And the 2nd chance points aren't going anywhere that's our biggest advantage.

And even if we win, if we win, HAH! Even if we win! Even if we play so far above our heads that our noses bleed for a week to ten days; even if God in Heaven above comes down and points his hand at our side of the field; even if every man woman and child held hands together and prayed for us to win, it just wouldn't matter because all the really good looking girls would still go out with the guys from Mohawk because they've got all the money! It just doesn't matter if we win or we lose. IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER!

That's an interesting spin, but if they aren't normally quick on D or good at protecting the rim, then that is the mean to which they regressed. Perhaps their mean is to be burned by the Warriors.
