This year Parker averaged 10/5 on 46% on reduced minutes and usage. Lots of people were hoping for him to take a reduced role, but those same people are blaming our losses on his lack of production. My question is: what numbers do you want Parker to be putting up? 20/8 on 52% like he did a few years ago? Then you're going to have to give him more minutes and run the offense his way more, simple as that.
This year he leads the team in assists and is 4th in scoring (ahead of Mills, Green, Ginobili, etc. as usual). Do you want him leading the team in assists and points like he did from 2009-2014?

I would want him to have a "starting PG on a contender" positive net rating, tbh. He could help that by hitting around 37/40% from 3's on 3 or 4 3 pts attempt per game.
For me it's that outside jumpshot. He needs to hit that when he takes it. It just opens up so much when he hits it. He can't defend very well, he can't penetrate that well, but that jumpshot, that's just fundamental basketball. Needs to hit it when the opportunity is there.
i can live with his avg as long as his TO's are 1 or less
OBPM DBPM BPM VORP -1.5 -1.7 -3.2 -0.5
can he try not having negatives across the board, or is that too much to ask for?
has the worse VORP on the team...
8-10 points on 8-10 shots and 6 assists. If he could average that and Patty could average double figures, we'd be set at PG.
10-12pts minimum of 6 assist
LOL, what kind of question is this? The ideal stat line for him would be 50/50 for 100 points. Impossible? Yes. Ideal? Yes.
A point per shot is poor efficiency tbh.
The problem with Parker's jumpshots is that he can shoot well off the dribble but has such a slow release in a catch-and-shoot situation that he has to be extremely wide open to be a threat. He catches the ball, brings it down, then brings it back up. Drives me crazy sometimes.
Problem is the guy is such a liability on defense. He looks absolutely lost on the defensive end. Minimal offensive and zero D equates to more bench time imo.
If he shot 50% it would be fine or 36-40% on threes. He goes 4/8 for 8 points or 5/10 for ten points with 6 assists, and no one complains unless the 4-5 misses are during crunch time. I think Parker/Mills are going to have a bad run vs Grizzlies, tho.
Yes, Conley regularly ate Porker alive, even in the Frenchie's prime tbh.
I would say over 16-17 PER
Right now he stands at 12.77, for 40th place in the league among PG, if he can manage to get into the top 25, Patty Mills is 25 in the league at an 15,31 PER, or ideally in the top 20 (19th Derrick Rose 17,02 PER, 20th Ricky Rubio 16,92 PER), i would be happy with his production.
Hahahaha what?!?
2011 WCR1:
Parker: 20/5 on 46%
Conley: 14/6 on 40%
2013 WCF:
Parker: 25/10 on 53%
Conley: 15/6 on 38%
Parker absolutely decimated Conley by and large. For crying out loud, Conley is one of the worst shooting point guards there has been, and he can't even play good defense as evidenced by how easily Parker always scored on him.
There is no ideal stat line. What kind of question is that? The ideal stat line is for him to not play like ass and look like he's completely washed up. Help the ing team out, Tony, or retire.
