Most Us intelligence officials believe an Al Nusra Chemical depot was hit

And actually yes, Al Nisra and other terrorists have been hitting Assads ppl with chemicals a number of times now in the last few years.

Most notably the famous invident in 2013

syria is not about syria for the americans; it is about iran. for russia, it is part concern over chechen fundamentalist rebels operating in syria and the neo-nationalist postion of putin who is already peeved that russia has lost influence in the ukraine and lost libya as well. basically, the neocons from both parties in the U.S. poised against russian neo-nationalists.

Dont forget all the missile systems being deployed in sweden, poland and lithuania. Basically now US is minutes from nuking Moscow

It really boils down to being to nuke the other guy in the least amount of time to avoid counter attack

    History son.
    History...

Russia scares the F out of the Balkans, Eastern Europe, and Scandavia. Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia (the Baltic region) Go there and try to convince the people to invite the Russians back.

And no one wants to use nukes. You overstate this constantly. It would be nice if there could be some agreements on not making mistakes that could escalate tensions. It's your hero, Trump, that needs to understand this.

white house just released a statement on the attack but withheld any evidence due to "security"

Going by the same old "trust us" approach

The paper asserted that “we have signals intelligence and geospatial intelligence,” but then added that “we cannot publicly release all available intelligence on this attack due to the need to protect sources and methods.”

I’m told that the key evidence was satellite surveillance of the area, a body of material that U.S. intelligence analysts were reviewing late last week even after the Trump-ordered bombardment of 59 Tomahawk missiles that, according to Syrian media reports, killed seven or eight Syrian soldiers and nine civilians, including four children.

Yet, it is unclear why releasing these overhead videos would be so detrimental to “sources and methods” since everyone knows the U.S. has this capability and the issue at hand – if it gets further out of hand – could lead to a nuclear confrontation with Russia.

    ZERO EVIDENCE. Once again

Wonder when they will dust off. Ollin Powell off the retirement home dress him up put a camera in his face so he can say "trust us"

I don't trust it as fact just because they say so, but I understand them not being able to offer any evidence. Revealing hard to get evidence means revealing the fact of having spys or assets in key places. Just saying it's knows is bad enough, and it reveals the fact we are spying. To indicate a specific piece of evidence would most likely get an asset or spy jailed or killed.

    Sure but 2 things:
    - they cant expect us to go to war without putting up any evidence (or get a UN unanimous vote)
    - apparently all the evidence they have is satellite imagery. There is absolutely no reason why displaying satellite imagery would be a security risk in this day and age imo. Syrians know they are being monitored 24/7

Damn MIT scientist joins my badwagon on this Syria false flag with pure logic:
I have reviewed the do ent carefully, and I believe it can be shown, without doubt, that the do ent does not provide any evidence whatsoever that the US government has concrete knowledge that the government of Syria was the source of the chemical attack in Khan Shaykhun, Syria at roughly 6 to 7 a.m. on April 4, 2017.

In fact, a main piece of evidence that is cited in the do ent points to an attack that was executed by individuals on the ground, not from an aircraft, on the morning of April 4.

This conclusion is based on an assumption made by the White House when it cited the source of the sarin release and the photographs of that source. My own assessment, is that the source was very likely tampered with or staged, so no serious conclusion could be made from the photographs cited by the White House.

Assad knows Putin has his back. We just gotta accept the atrocities in Syria. We do not want war with Russia.
