It wasn't all because he was deferring. There was one play that I commented on during the game. Randolph was just beating the out of LMA off the ball. Patty finally wound up passing it to him, and while the ball was in the air Randolph just gave a huge two-armed shove in his back. He took the pass 5-6 feet farther from the rim than he had been when Patty started the pass. That's what he was dealing with most of the night.

He defended very well, and he didn't cough the ball up a lot with all that contact. And he kept one of their bigs from helping most of the time. It doesn't always show up in the stat line.

After the Spurs win a game the opposing team's coach es about the refs and then bam the next game they get special treatment. It happened in '15 with Doc Rivers, last year Donovan ed about the refs after game 3.

Randolph and Gasol are a load. Marc Gasol was 4-15. LMA didn't get many attempts, but they were beating the out of him of the ball. Not good line from Aldridge, but not that surprising.

I forgot about that, sometimes just getting the ball to Lamarcus was a hassle... that is when the Spurs got out of their sets. They were denying the ball and also getting into the ballhandlers.

Edit : If James Harden and other superstars get those calls, then Kawhi deserves them too. He gets fouled more than enough to get free throws. What a . Should have called even more fouls on the Griz. Both Pau and LA were fouled a lot, and they didn't get anywhere near enough calls when the Grizz mauling them anytime down low - both on and off the ball. How about those fouls? What does the Memphis coach have to say about that? What a freaking joker. What a ing joker. Memphis better not get BS calls after that from him. besides, if you get fouled in the paint and get free throws, that doesn't register as an attempt in the paint (unless it's an and-1)
