And yes. It was very disturbing. It's also disturbing that it was the third or fourth story on the news. If it was a white guy that killed the black man it would have been the first story, called a hate crime and there would be protesting all over.

Now that is one serial killer I'm sad got it in prison. He could have been studied for years. He was a seemingly normal dude with a normal life and somewhat normal parents who liked to preserve skulls and s in his apartment. He couldn't even explain why. Even the cop investigating his case became friendly with him, because he was a nice guy unless you were one of his targets. What wires are crossed that makes one person normal and somebody else do like that?

i see value in rehabilitation, even for somebody who has no shot of parole. he could end up being a voice of reason for some other young idiot who's in prison, due for release in a few years, etc.

If you ever read the book Wiseguy that Goodfellas was based on, this is the same way Tommy DeSimone (who Joe Pesci's character was based on) tried to make his bones in an attempt to be made by the Lucchese family. He just went and shot some random old guy walking down the street.

I read somewhere that he would get a new firearm and seek out human targets to use it on. Can't believe that guy really existed.
