I hope it's a good offseason regardless of how the team finishes this year. Can't rely on old Manu and Parker for one more season. I guess it's the price of having a top 3 player in the league.

That got made a huge rant two years ago when Kawhi won DPOY.
IMO this says a lot about Pop, his game adjustments or lack thereof, the acquisition of Gasol, who has been benched and is unplayable at times... Lamarcus playing like a role player and Pop underutilizing younger players bc they aren't trusted. It also highlights how Manu has hurt the team and needs the be benched.
That even includes a stretch of the 4th Q in game 3 when Anderson, Simmons, Bertans, and Murray scored with no problem and one game in which Danny got very hot from 3 (game 1? Can't recall)
If you take those out, I bet it's worse. Patty's streakiness, Manu's TOSB and Gasol cooling off highlight the woes in the bench. (Plus Lee has missed a lot at the rim).
When Pop tried to go through Lamarcus it was a disaster. Kyle gets blamed but the offense went through Lamarcus and he only touched the ball for a bailout shot.
Prior to this last game, all of the Spurs youngest players, when given opportunities, scored efficiently, some even drew fouls. Obviously Pop doesn't go to them except when games are out of reach (game 3) or a blow out (game 1) They need to play more and the TOSB less. Maybe it won't happen bc "it's not their time" specially with Dijon.
It sucks. Patty is not a playmaker either....
